I'm interested in hearing from experienced Marwari breeders, owners, and equine experts.

There seems to be a common belief that indigenous Marwari horses were naturally small. Is this historically accurate, or were well-bred Marwaris traditionally capable of reaching 15–16 hands under good breeding and management?

I'd appreciate evidence-based answers, historical records, old photographs, or reliable references rather than opinions. Looking forward to a respectful discussion.

At Wind Horse Stables, we have specialized in horse safaris for over 21 years, offering a unique opportunity to explore Nepal on the magnificent Marwari horse.

The Marwari is a rare and historic breed found mainly in India and Nepal, with only small populations in a handful of other countries. Famous for its distinctive inward-curving ears, exceptional endurance, courage, and stamina, it is perfectly suited for long-distance horse safaris.

Experience Nepal's breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and warm hospitality from the saddle of one of the world's rarest horse breeds. Ride with confidence, powered by the strength, intelligence, and spirit of the remarkable Marwari horse.
