Another successful adoption of an adult cat name, Phoebe :
Adopting adult cats can be incredibly rewarding, but many potential adopters have misconceptions that prevent them from considering adult or senior cats. Here are some common misconceptions—along with the facts to dispel them:
Misconception #1: Adult cats don’t bond well with new owners.
Truth: Adult cats are fully capable of forming strong, loving bonds. In fact, many adult cats are especially affectionate and grateful once they settle into a safe, caring home.
⸻
🐾 Misconception #2: Adult cats are less playful or active.
Truth: While kittens may be more energetic, adult cats still play and engage—often in more predictable, less chaotic ways. Some adults remain kitten-like well into their senior years.
⸻
🐾 Misconception #3: They come with behavioral problems.
Truth: Most adult cats in shelters are there due to no fault of their own—often because of housing issues, allergies, or life changes in their previous home. Many are already litter-trained, socialized, and well-mannered.
Remember Joey & Phoebe who were given up by their owners after many years of having them? Well Phoebe got adopted to an amazing anonymous adopter. Shes adapting very well in her new home. Sadly Joey couldnt be adopted together due to his severe gingivitis, neglected by previous owner. A huge thank you to adopter for giving Phoebe a forever loving home.
If you are planning to adopt a cat or a pair please consider adopting adult cats.
