Mammary tumors in dogs occur due to a combination of hormonal, genetic, and environmental factors. The most important causes are:
1. Hormonal influence (BIGGEST cause)
Estrogen and progesterone strongly stimulate mammary tissue
Female dogs not spayed or spayed late have a much highest chance of having Mammary Tumor
2. Age
Most common in older dogs (8–12 years)
3.Use of hormonal drugs
Progesterone injections or pills (used to suppress heat)
Long-term use increases mammary tumor risk
Note : Spaying on Time is only solution to get rid of these problem which can affect your dog at any point of lifetime
