Needless to explain, it was not the dry and sunny Thursday we were told it might be. Unlike many of those Oslo residents who did get caught out, I luckily had two spare changes of clothes, and some waterproofs in the van, so as to be dry and comfortable again in minimal time....

A funny little Wednesday story for you all. My guess is that you were not aware that Who Let The Dogs Out? helped develop digital home locks here in Oslo. About one decade ago when digital home locks were still old fashioned keypads, I was contacted by the brother-in-law of a good friend. Mike, it turned out, worked for one of the big home lock and alarm system providers....

Late last night I received the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of my dearest friends, Twist. It was not unexpected, and in a way it is nice to know that she is finally resting peacefully. She had lived an amazing and long life surrounded with love and adventure. For those of you who have followed the dog blog over many, many years you will no doubt remember Twist....

The Weekend is generally seen as a time to recharge your batteries metaphorically. After the exertions and adventures of the week, the weekend allows batteries to top up...... But apparently not literally as I found out yesterday. Yesterday afternoon I was heading to swimming with my son for his weekly course. We jumped into the van as we were running a few minutes late....

All too often in life we miss the Window of Opportunity. Plans and schedules might change which suddenly open up a rare moment where the conditions are suitable. In our hectic day-to-day lives it is also perfectly okay to pass up on some of these windows. Bit quite often I have found that a couple of hours later I regret not having undertaken the opportunity....

Funny little story from earlier today. Just when you think you've seen it all, life surprises you. I was just finishing my first Dog Adventure and had climbed back into the van. I was trying to get rid of the fog on the inside of the windscreen, due to quite how wet we were. With the air system on the full blow, I peered through the windscreen which was clearing up....
