We are getting more and more attention from abroad, so we will now be posting in English.
PROFESSIONAL USE OF THE RELEASHE©™ HARNESS:
Avinor (who operates all airports in Norway) in Stavanger started a pioneering project using dogs to chase away birds inside the airport instead of shooting them. The dog Pax is in this respect a very expensive project (probably in the hundreds of thousands of kroner class), and there are probably few dogs in Norway that have trained more recall than Pax, as an unsuccessful recall in the eagerness to catch a bird can quickly delay air traffic (i.e. become VERY expensive). That is why they use the Releahe©™ harness as a safety in case he does not obey commands.
For most dog owners, a dog that is too eager to catch wild animals can also be very expensive (reindeer, sheep, deer, etc.), and in the worst case, lead to the dog been euthanized. That is why it is nice to use Releashe©™ as an extra safety....and why not. As you can see from this clip, the harness does not effect the dog in any way when it`s not activated. Pax are using the harness in every scene in the film below, and there you can see for yourself how freely he moves.
Meaning, absolutely NO impact on the dog as long as the harness is not activated.
But what about the impact when it`s activated?
On a normal trained dog, the owner normally needs to use the brake/stop function very seldom. The brake/stop function gradually takes down the kick from the hind legs. Just last for a few second before the owner de-activates the harness again. No one of the over 100 dogs we have been testing it on shows any sign of pain when they get stoped. Look true some other film on our webpage to see the brake/stop function in action!
ALSO, Avinor has also been in close dialogue/collaboration with veterinarians to hear whether the Releashe©™ harness could, in any way whatsoever be unfavorable in terms of animal welfare (and technically). If the veterinarians found that, they could of course never have used it on such an expensive dog.
Meaning; They have NOT received such indications from the veterinarian. In our opinion the Releashe harness is more safe to use than a regular collar/leash, that has been proven to made injuries to the dogs throat.
