The Wolden Summer Sale is an exclusive auction of talented 5 -, 6 - and 7-year-old jumping horses and jumpingbred foals during the international jumping show in CH de Wolden (Veeningen). The horses and foals in the auction are selected by Jan Broek from Zuidwolde, the HBC stable from Boyl and VDL Stud from Bears.

The De Wolden Summer Sale 2026 was a great success! 🎉

Set against the stunning backdrop of CSI De Wolden, buyers, breeders and visitors enjoyed a fantastic evening, expertly conducted by auctioneer Koen Olaerts.

🌟 Top seller: Whizztone (Baltic x Corland) sold for €22,000 to the USA.

Other highlights included:

🔸 In the pedigree of Wealba J, the up-and-coming sire and internationally successful 1.45m performer New Pleasure VDL is combined with the direct damline of his equally outstanding contemporary Night Life VDL.
🔸 Her dam, Prealba VDL, lived up to her strong pedigree by earning a solid score of 80 points in her IBOP test.
🔸 The line then continues with granddam Krealba VDL, a half-sister to the international 1.45m showjumper Landmeister VDL, before tracing back to Ealba VDL.
🔸 She is recorded as the granddam of Night Life VDL, who, at the age of eight, is already delivering eye-catching performances at 1.45m level under Luke Hill.
🔸 Ealba VDL herself is a half-sister to several international showjumpers, including Wilford VDL, who competed at the highest level.
🔸 This direct line has also produced top showjumpers such as Harwich VDL and Jourdain VDL.

🔸 As a half-sister to both the international 1.60m performer Gaga E d’Augustijn, with whom Jordy Van Massenhove achieved, among other results, second places in the 1.55m classes of Valkenswaard and Hamburg as well as in the Nations Cup of Drammen, and the international 1.50m horse Hera E, ridden by Roland Englbrecht, Warlande Gun has a bright future ahead of her.
🔸 Her dam Arlande has also produced the internationally successful 1.45m performers Igor E and Dorlanda, and is herself a half-sister to the 1.40m horse Heaven Can Wait E.
🔸 This direct line has also produced the 1.40/1.45m performer Orlando.
🔸 Added to this proven sport family are the genes of the highly talented Boston VDL, who, at just seven years of age, has left no doubt about his exceptional potential.

🔸 One of the rising stars at CSI5* level is VDL Mindset ES, with whom Hessel Hoekstra has already achieved remarkable successes at 1.50/1.55m level.
🔸 Year after year, this Aganix du Seigneur son has proven himself to be among the best of his generation, and he is also making his mark as a sire.
🔸 Wilhelmus K.L. also inherits strong genetics on the dam’s side, being bred out of a half-sister to the international 1.45/1.50m performers Golden Boy B.S. and Elvi Ellington, ridden by Marina Ehrnrooth.

🔸 Offspring such as Leone Jei, Faltic HB, and Ilex demonstrate the exceptional breeding qualities of his sire Baltic VDL.
🔸 Dam Kazarah earned five scores of 8 in her mare performance test (total score 78.5) and represents a strong branch of Holsteiner line 242, which flourished at Stal Roelofs.
🔸 Kazarah is a half-sister to the KWPN-approved stallion Indian Gold, with whom Ida Selin has already achieved success in international sport at 1.55m level, as well as to the 1.40m horse Zarah.

🌍 World-class performance family – Wise Guy T

🔸 Under Ben Maher, Faltic HB ranked among the most successful showjumping horses in the world for many years.
🔸 He contributed to Great Britain’s team bronze medal at the World Equestrian Games in Herning, where they also finished fourth individually, and at the European Championships in Milan they again placed fourth individually.
🔸 To date, this Grand Prix stallion has been used only very sparingly for breeding and is represented here by an interesting son, bred from the direct damline of the Grand Prix sport and breeding stallion Arezzo VDL.
🔸 In the third generation, this line traces back to Darjolijn, who is not only a half-sister to the leading sire Arezzo VDL, but was also successful in international sport at 1.40m level herself.
🔸 This is also the direct damline of three-time Hamburg Derby winner Nacorde, ridden by André Thieme, and the internationally successful The Fly, ridden by Todd Minikus.
