🌈 In memory of Lynn 🌈

Yesterday, we had to say goodbye to Lynn.

Six years ago, she came to live with me. During those years, she earned a special place within our pack, at Cripple Creek, and in the hearts of the many people who knew her. She was a dog with character, a mind of her own, and above all, a bundle of joy.

Eight months ago, I moved to Sweden. Because of her age, I felt it was important for Lynn to remain in the familiar environment she knew so well. Peter took over her care, while she continued living at Bart’s kennel. In addition, many other people helped over the past months to give her the care, attention, and love she deserved.

Lynn was a true fighter. Over the years, she overcame several health challenges, including an acute cervical disc herniation and emergency surgery for a severe uterine infection. Time and again, she surprised us with her resilience and will to live. The fact that she reached the age of 14 truly feels like a gift.

Over the past few days, her health declined rapidly. She was in pain, began showing signs of dementia, and her quality of life continued to diminish. Together, we made the decision to let her go peacefully.

Lynn reached the age of 14 (and 3 months). A wonderful age. She had a beautiful life, filled with adventures, attention, and people who loved her. Everyone who has been part of Cripple Creek undoubtedly has their own memories of her.

Peter, thank you for everything you have done for her over the years. And thank you as well to everyone who helped make her final months as comfortable and happy as possible.

Rest in peace, sweet Lynn. ❤️

Aan iedereen die een hond van de Cripple Creek/Of Creek's Adventures kennel hebben (pup of herplaatser maakt niet uit!

Hi allemaal,

Sinds mijn vertrek naar Zweden merk ik dat ik veel minder contact heb met pup kopers van de door mij gefokte hondjes. Ik zou het dus heel leuk vinden als je in de Whatsapp groep komt met alle (oud) verzorgers en andere pupkopers! Superleuk om zo iedereen zijn/haar broertjes, zusjes, mama's, papa's, opa's, oma's, noem maar op te zien!!!!
Er worden eigenlijk nooit hele verhalen gedeeld, vooral korte, kleine updates en leuke filmpjes/foto's.
