Conservation Dog Clive 🐕🌍
Country: Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Partners: and
Target Species: Pangolin & Tortoise 🐢

We are ready for another field trip into the field of conservation research and protection.

One of our instructors is traveling to Bangladesh to support, guide, and help train local teams during operational field research focused on endangered pangolins and tortoises.

Working alongside researchers and conservation partners in real environments is essential for developing both the dogs and handlers for long-term conservation impact. From jungle environments to difficult terrain, these dogs help make the invisible visible.

Proud to see Conservation Dog Clive continuing this important mission. 🌿🐾 one of our pups we raised and train

Wildlife Detection Dog Program
📍 Indonesia 🇮🇩

Our instructor is currently in Indonesia 🇮🇩, where she has just completed a training program for a wildlife detection unit in North Sulawesi.

Wildlife trafficking is a global issue, but in Indonesia—spread across thousands of islands—it becomes even more complex to control and enforce. The geography creates challenges in monitoring movement, borders, and remote areas.

Detection dogs offer a strong solution within this environment. They function as a mobile, flexible screening system, capable of working in ports, airports, remote locations, and transport routes. Their ability to detect hidden wildlife products makes them a powerful asset in the fight against illegal trafficking.

Programs like these are not just about training dogs—they are about building sustainable local capacity, strengthening units on the ground, and creating long-term impact in conservation and enforcement.

Wildlife Detection Dog – Gold 🐕🌍

Great to see Gold and his handler !

We donated Gold to because of the important work they are doing to protect wildlife in Africa. Supporting organizations that make a real impact on conservation and anti-poaching efforts is something we strongly believe in.

Anti-Poaching Unit
📍 Leuser National Park, Indonesia 🇮🇩

We are extremely proud of K9 trainer .indonesia Hamzah. We have been working and training together for more than 6 years, including a special Train-the-Trainer course in the Netherlands.

Having a strong local trainer who is capable of building and developing a unit from the ground up is incredibly important for long-term success.

We are very grateful for the support from JAAN in this project. A special thank you to Femke and Iben for your valuable help and commitment.

It’s also great to see K9 Bodhan and K9 Levi performing so well in this environment.

Soon, one of our field instructors will return to provide an advanced training course and continue building the team on the ground.

Biosecurity Detection Dog Program
Country: Falkland Islands 🇫🇰

It’s great to see K9 Hunter and K9 King back in action — the dogs we raised from puppies with one clear purpose: protecting this beautiful and unique natural ecosystem.

A big compliment to the handlers & who continue to maintain King and Hunter at such a high operational level. Keeping dogs sharp, focused, and reliable in a biosecurity environment requires continuous training, discipline, and commitment.

It’s never just “taking a dog for a search.”
It’s an experience.

One moment you’re stepping onto a small Kodiak in the harbor. The next, you’re boarding a large cruise ship to conduct inspections. Different environments, different scent dynamics, different challenges — and the dogs must adapt every single time.

From small vessels to major international ships, from open sea air to confined cargo areas — this is real operational work.

Proud to see these dogs doing exactly what they were bred, raised, and trained to do: protect nature.

Cargo Screening

Cargo shipments worldwide are one of the biggest transport methods in global trade. Wildlife detection dogs can screen these cargo locations for contraband — targeting the second stage of the illegal wildlife trade, where products are moved and shipped across borders.

During this training, we focus on the best and most effective way to screen cargo in an operational environment.

Led by instructors:

We want to thank Farmfood for the hospitality, and we look forward to more collaboration in the future so we can train more rangers in the field .
