Brought home on her IV machine, and pain medication and finally accepting food 🥹

Sorry for the very real photos, this is honestly quite filtered as to what this girl is going through. But again, a real side of rescue you need to see.

Meet Cassieopeia
We were called by concerned neighbours to a cat that had given birth, Cassieopeia unable to detach the placenta herself, her 3 kittens, tangled up in umbilical cords and still attached to mum. Mum started to panic and was running through the house dragging the babies along with her.

We had no idea how bad it was until we walked in. Cassie has a large growth inside her mouth preventing her from chewing, swallowing, licking, anything at all.
She was completely emaciated, dehydrated, unable to remove her babies and completely terrified.

She has a suspected salivary gland issue, currently on a cannula for fluid therapy.

Today’s costs aside, she has been quoted over $1000 in vet care to come. Something that was quite confronting to us, and this is where we are reaching out to our community who has supported us so many times in the past, to please help us save this girl who deserves a chance.
She is just terrified.

Sending our thoughts and love from TACC Rescue, this is such a horrible situation for all involved.

So, how does a ridiculously cute little tortie end up with a name like Nuffin?⁣

Well, it all started with a conversation between a husband and wife...⁣

👨 Hubby: "What shall we name her?"⁣
⁣
👩 Wife: "We're not keeping her, so nothing."⁣
⁣
👨 Hubby: "Nuffin?"⁣
⁣
And just like that, a legend was born. 💀😂⁣
⁣
Unfortunately for the wife, you can't give a cat a name, fall in love with her and then expect her to just disappear into the witness protection program.⁣

So while Nuffin isn't staying, she's certainly leaving an impression. 🩷⁣

She's got the tortie looks, the big beautiful eyes and a face that suggests she's never done anything wrong in her entire life. (We have our suspicions.)⁣
