What an incredible weekend at the Sydney Cat Lovers Festival! 🐾💙

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the TACC Rescue stand, met our beautiful cats and kittens, donated, purchased something, shared their stories or simply came over to say hello. We were blown away by the kindness and support shown to our small but mighty rescue.

We would also like to address a report made to festival organisers regarding cats allegedly being adopted out on the day. We sincerely thank the festival organisers, animal welfare team and volunteers who attended our stand to ensure that every animal was healthy and that no cats were being adopted or taken home directly from the festival.

We were more than happy to explain our expression of interest process. The forms completed over the weekend were enquiries only, and our team will now follow them up through our usual screening, matching and adoption procedures. The welfare of our cats will always come first, and no adoption is finalised without the appropriate checks.

Thank you to the Sydney Cat Lovers Festival team for hosting such a wonderful event, and to our incredible volunteers and foster carers who gave their time and energy to make the weekend possible.

We’re home tired, grateful and with very full hearts. Until next year! 🐱💙

🐾 MEET BIANCA 🐾

If you’ve ever wanted a cat who will happily keep the conversation going, Bianca would like a word. 😂

Bianca is an absolutely gorgeous young tabby girl with spectacular green eyes and plenty to say. She’s a proper little chatterbox, and we suspect she considers silence a terrible waste of an opportunity.

But behind all that commentary is an incredibly sweet, loving girl. 🤍

Bianca is fairly confident, affectionate and enjoys being part of whatever is happening around her. She’s the kind of cat who will make herself part of the family rather than quietly disappearing into the furniture.

🚨 $1,092.80 IN ONE DAY. TWO KITTENS. TWO EYE REMOVALS. 🐾💔

Yesterday, Sebastian and Akira both needed surgery to have an eye removed.

While they were under anaesthetic, we also made sure they received the other veterinary care they needed, including desexing, microchipping, medication and post-operative care.

🐾 Could you help us cover Sebastian and Akira’s vet bill?
