Vorige week vrijdag, 28 februari 2025, is mijn allerliefste prinsesje
Zina op 16½ jarige leeftijd overleden 😭.
Ze heeft haar ziekte stoer en sterk gedragen, maar kon er, ondanks haar sterke wil, niet van winnen 😔.
Haar hoofdje wilde nog zó graag, maar haar lijfje was op.
Ik móést haar laten gaan 😢.
Dag mijn allerliefste prinsesje, jouw geliefde Duke* staat vast op je te wachten aan de andere kant van de regenboogbrug
Voor Zina heb ik dit gedicht gemaakt:
"Lieve lieve Zina,
Mijn allerliefste prinsesje
Dank je wel voor ál die jaren
Voor ál jouw gegeven knuffels en kopjes
en jouw schattige zachte gespin
Voor ál die grappige oer-geluidjes
als je inééns achter een “prooi” aan ging
Voor ál jouw goede zorgen voor jouw baby’s
en alle anderen bij ons geboren kleintjes
Voor ál het plezier dat je hebt gegeven
Maar vooral
Dank je wel voor jouw enorme liefde en troost
want dát is wat ik het allermeest zal missen"

Last Friday, February 28, 2025, my dearest princess
Zina passed away at the age of 16½ 😭.
She bore her illness bravely and strongly, but despite her strong will, she could not win 😔.
Her head still wanted to do so much, but her body was done.
I had to let her go 😢.
My dearest princess, your beloved Duke* will be waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
I wrote this poem for Zina:
"Dearest sweet Zina,
My dearest princess
Thank you for all those years
For all your hugs and headbutts
and your cute soft purring
For all those funny primal sounds
when you suddenly went after a "prey"
For all your good care for your babies
and all the other little ones born to us
For all the fun you gave
But most of all
Thank you for your enormous love and comfort
because that is what I will miss the most"

You are deep in my heart
Forever and ever
