Our long adventures have been swapped for short walks around the neighborhood. A little sniff here, a moment together there… and then moving on again. Not exactly Libby’s usual routine, but she adapts effortlessly. As if she senses that, for now, things are just a little different.

The rhythm has changed. Busier. A bit more chaotic.
And somehow, we’re already halfway through the first week of a two-week school holiday.

We may not live under the same roof, but ever since we picked Libby up together in Germany, she has found her place in two homes.

Most of the time she stays with me, but on weekends we are often with him. And whenever he stops by during the week, her reaction is always the same.. Genuine, unfiltered joy as if she hasn’t seen him in ages.

It’s special to witness how strong that bond is. Two homes, yet for her it feels like one familiar world.

Long weekend away with Libby ✨

In the picturesque village of Kaysersberg we made great progress again. Despite the crowds, all the new smells and stimuli and a little bit of pulling on the leash she did really well. So proud of this girl, every trip is a mix of training and adventure.

One week ago, we joined our very first official short cross race 🐺💨

Libby did such an amazing job. She ignored almost every dog we passed except one moment when a dog lunged at her, which got her a bit worked up. But aside from that, she was absolutely incredible. So focused, driven, and in the zone the entire time.

We even set our fastest time ever, and I couldn’t be more proud of her 🤍

This experience really motivated me to join more events in the future with Libs. It’s not only great for our training, but also so much fun to do this together.

Here’s to many more adventures as a team!
