The one that comes from spending years being very responsible, very sensible, very available for everyone else’s life while yours runs on low volume in the background.

That’s not burnout, that’s what happens when you stop being the main character of your own story.

This revolution will not be televised.
It will consist of millions of people, one by one, remembering who the f*ck they are.

And when they do, the world will change very rapidly.
Not very loud, this goes way beyond the activism stage.
If you know, you just know.

The good news?

This proces of remembering doesn’t need to be heavy, overcomplicated and it does not need to be theorized to death. At some point you just feel it in your bones.

It is actually as simple as that.
And this is exactly why I am here on earth in this lifetime. To create a space for the whole remembering part of all of you.

You’re not stuck and your current life does not suck. And still: you are allowed to want more.
More YOU, more freedom, more magic, more space and more.... fun, actually.

Maybe you’re simply done consuming information instead of moving.

Done healing instead of beginning.
Done running a race you never signed up for.
Done throwing everything out of the window you ever really dreamed about because you had to be responsible.

Somehow you lost yourself a little in the meantime.

And no, you don’t have to buy a Porsche, get a divorce and move to Bali.
(You could if you wanted though)

Three reasons why that magical ‘one day...’ never comes.

First:
You were never before unapologetically, delusionally clear about what it is YOU actually WANT.

Not what makes sense, not what everyone else expects. What YOU want.

Second: you got stuck in a thick soup of self-help, healing, overanalysing, understanding, politeness, processing and staying endlessly busy.
(Aka: postponing your life.)

Third: you avoid making a clear decision.

The good news?

Things do not have to be heavy or overcomplicated and they do not have to be theorized to death. At some point you just ‘know’. You feel it in your bones.

And guess what? It is allowed to be fun.
And even ‘worse’: it can be insanely simple😜

If something is your calling, it will keep calling you.

Again, and again, and again.

Through ideas that won’t leave you alone.
Daydreams.
Through that thing you keep talking about but somehow never start.
The universe keeps throwing it at your feet and in your face.

At some point, the question is no longer: “Is this meant for me?”

The question becomes: “How much longer am I going to pretend I didn’t hear it?”

And: am I willing to die with the regret of not following my dreams?
Don’t think so.

So cool to be able to write from the heart, and to get that published in Spiegelbeeld Magazine❤️

Al op jonge leeftijd worden we gevraagd om keuzes te maken die de rest van ons leven bepalen. Studie, werk, inkomen, succes alsof we precies weten wie we zijn en wat we willen, nog vóór we onszelf echt hebben leren kennen. Maar hoeveel van die keuzes waren écht van jou?

Veel mensen groeien op met ideeën en verwachtingen die ongemerkt bepalen hoe ze naar zichzelf en de wereld kijken. Het laat zien hoe veel mensen hun waarde zijn gaan koppelen aan presteren, productiviteit en bruikbaarheid, terwijl er diep vanbinnen iets blijft fluisteren: dit is niet helemaal wie ik ben.

Misschien begint echte vrijheid pas wanneer je durft terug te keren naar jezelf. Naar je lichaam, je natuur, je eigen waarheid los van alles wat hoort.
