FINAL UPDATE 18/10/2024: today I had tea with Dr. Joachim for the last time. I have bragged about how fit I am, even though I still sleep all day.
The laboratory results were back. The tumor was completely removed and the cut edges were clean. No malignant cells in the spleen and fortunately the removed lymph node was also clean.
So the flag can go out here!
It was an exciting month for all of us. Fortunately, doctor Lotte and doctor Joachim knew what to do with the liver cancer. We are very happy 🥳

UPDATE 11/10/2024: today I went to doctor Joachim for a check-up. He was very satisfied. The wound looks nice and he could feel anywhere in my stomach without hurting me.
The tumor in my liver weighed 800 grams. That's no small feat! Luckily I had surgery.
Just take it easy for a few more weeks and then I'll be back to normal

UPDATE 7/10/2024: last night I slept wonderfully in my own basket. My people have also spread out soft blankets everywhere on my favorite (cold) sleeping spots, so that I don't get cold. This morning I went for a short walk. To the lawn and back again.
It is also nice here, because there is someone at home all day to spoil me. Door open, door closed, petting, going outside, something tasty from my stash...
Tomorrow I will visit Doctor Lotte again. She called today and would like me to drop by.
So everything is moving forward again!

I haven't been feeling well lately. That made me thirsty all the time. I drank 6 liters of water a day. I was also increasingly tired and had to pant a lot. We went to the vet.
Doctor Lotte discovered that I had a large malignant tumor in my liver. We were all very worried about whether I would get better of not.
After all kinds of tests it turned out that I could have surgery and that I would probably be completely normal again afterwards.
Last friday we visited doctor Joachim. That was exciting, because he told us that I could also die during the operation.
Animal Day was very special this year. I had surgery!
It was a major operation where part of my liver and spleen were removed. I overcame it well and doctor Joachim thinks that I will be back to my old self in a few weeks. Then I can run and play again without getting tired and ride in my new cart when we go to the beach.
I'm already looking forward to it!
Today - after two nights in ICU - I went home! Thanks to all the people who kept their fingers crossed for me. And a big shout out to all the doctors and nurses who took care of me.
