I just did an ultrasound on Nox. Yesterday, she and Odin suddenly started fighting, and luckily I was in the breeding facility when it happened. This is exactly why I never go on holiday during breeding season and why my husband and daughter are currently on vacation without me.
Nox is full of eggs, and if I hadn’t been there at that moment, this pair could have ended up seriously injured, or even worse. Breeding tegu lizards is not easy. It requires constant dedication, sacrifice, and experience. I give up a lot for these animals, but that is also why I am one of the few truly successful tegu breeders in Europe.
I’m expecting this clutch to produce some incredibly beautiful, super dark babies, possibly even darker than their mother.
