Fellow farmers, lots of you ask about how to get your ruminants to gain weight. The first thing to do is to make sure they are parasite free. Both internal and external parasites(it's advisable one deworms regularly). Then feed them enough protein rich feed such as soya bean meals and carbohydrates rich feed such as chloris gayana or grains(maize, millet etc) if you can. Let them have access to fresh green grasses. Banana waste is all good for them. Which means all day as much as they can eat, of course also sufficient fresh clean water with tonic in it. That will help your ruminants gain weight.
