A TOUCHING STORY OF A FARMER ,😭😭

“This wasn’t supposed to happen.
I bought those chicks just yesterday evening — and this morning, I woke up to find them all gone. 😭

I’m a nurse, but that’s only one side of my story. For years now, I’ve also been a single mom. Since my husband passed away, it’s been just me — doing everything I can to make ends meet and give my children a decent life. Nursing pays the bills, but I’ve always wanted more. I wanted to build something… something that could grow beyond my salary.

So I took a big risk. I borrowed ₦2.5 million — not for luxury, not for a car or new clothes — but to start a poultry business. I dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur, raising chickens, and earning a steady income. For the first time in a long while, I felt hope.

Yesterday, when I brought the chicks home, I was so excited. They were tiny, chirping, full of life — full of promise. I set them up carefully, checked on them over and over before going to bed, my heart filled with optimism.
