Dogs are pack animals and fit nicely into our family in fact they perceive and see themselves to be part of our family and they are so loyal to the point that they are willing to give their life,lay their life down to protect us and die and they are very intelligent do you know that dogs do understand pointing and they have so much empathy for our emotions and happiness they have evolved to rely on human clues movement facial expressions their happiness is entirely reliant on ours while we can have a moral argument i agree on not to eat meat at all we cant to continue to eat dogs and cats amongst us those of us that do eat meat learnt from the society we grew up which one is appropriate to eat but the killing dogs and cats is not how a particular culture or society sees a particular specie but rather the nature of that specie and we humans are responsible for the nature of that specie it is one thing to bred an animal for food and use that animal for food and is another thing to bred an animal and program that animal over a long period of time to be friend and betray such friendship and love and kill the animal and use it for food it is not nice deal so to an animal that is capable of so much love for you most especially when your diet does not depend on it is not as one is stranded in a remote island or a desert and is about to starve to death hence has to kill the dog to eat in other to stay alive most people that do indulge in this practice do so out of an erroneous beliefs and supposition for example some do suppose that dog meat is medicinal that when you consume it,it will boost your immune system against fever or it can cure fever or gives longevity life all these have no scientific basis some have this superstitious belief that when for example when you eat a cat especially the head it gives you good luck you would not die in a foreign land some go ahead to kill and persecute cats in an attempt to extinct the specie entirely because cats has been associated with evil,devil witchcraft.
