One questions people always ask me
"Why Veterinary Medicine?"ππππ€ππ©Ί
Funny enough, Veterinary Medicine wasn't my first choice.
After secondary school, I applied for Medicine and Surgery. I scored 239 in JAMBπ₯², but it wasn't enough. My second choice was Dentistry, and I even went for an aptitude test at UNIMED university of medical sciences, Ondo State. Unfortunately, I wasn't offered admission.π₯²
Then something happened.
Back then, we reared goats at home. One of our pregnant goats wandered into someone's farm and ate some crops. Out of anger, the farmer attacked the goat with a machete, he butchered her.
When we came back from church that Sunday, we met her badly injured and bleeding. We eventually sold her because her condition was too bad.
I still remember that day till date.
I kept asking myself, "What if there was a vet around? Could she have been saved?"
At the time, I was using a Nokia C2 phone. I searched for careers that involved treating animals, and Veterinary Medicine appeared. I spent hours reading about the profession, the schools that offered it, and what it took to become a veterinarian.

The more I read about it, the more interested I became.
When it was time to register for another JAMB, I made Veterinary Medicine my first choice.
Today, I thank God I did.
So when I say I care about animals, it's not just because it's my job or profession. I've experienced what it feels like when an animal needs help and nobody is there.
That's why every case matters to me wether major or minor
Trust me with your pets and livestock. I'm not just treating animals
I'm serving a purpose that began long before I entered veterinary school. π©ΊπΎπππ
