Pet World Nutritions is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), marking a meaningful collaboration between industry and academia to advance Veterinary Clinical Training and Research Development. The MoU signing was graced by YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security; Dato’ Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Arham bin Abdullah, Vice-Chancellor of UMK; Dato’ Hj Che Abdullah Mat Nawi, CEO of UMK Holdings; and Mr. Choy Peng Yew, CEO of Pet World International Sdn. Bhd.
During the visit, YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu witnessed firsthand how the pet food industry is built upon rigorous research and development (R&D). From the careful selection of raw materials and precise nutritional formulation to controlled manufacturing processes, every stage is meticulously designed to ensure the production of high-quality and nutritionally balanced pet food.
This collaboration brings together academic expertise and industry capabilities to drive innovation in product formulation development, technology transfer, and pet medical advancement. Strong R&D capabilities enable local industries to move forward, enhance competitiveness, and reduce reliance on imported products. It also opens meaningful opportunities for collaboration with higher education institutions while strengthening the local supply chain ecosystem.
Together, this partnership is committed to improving the health, well-being, and overall quality of pets’ lives.
