The Malaysian Equine Council or Majlis Ekuin Malaysia was officially Incorporated on 12th January, 1993. Its main aim is to act as a catalyst or agent to facilitate growth and development in various aspects of equine activity in Malaysia. Since its formation, Majlis Ekuin Malaysia has been working in areas of common interest that would bring benefit to the different member organisations that promo
te and develop equine sports and othe related activities. KEY OBJECTIVES
To act as the national body to promote all forms of equine and equestrian activity and to serve as an umbrella organisation to coordinate the activities of all other entities and organisations which promote and participate in the development of equestrian or horse-related sports. To act as a consultative body to the government relating to matters on equine activities. To promote the improvement of the overall standard of horsemanship and horsemastership. To promote the development of career equestrian professionals e.g. Coaches, trainers, farriers, stable hands, etc. To promote the establishment of public riding centres and provide technical advice and support in setting up and management of such facilities.
