SR NOVA - what u need to do when u face these problems
----------
🔥 Hair algae , BGA ( blue green algae / cyanobacteria) , green dust algae
Typically this is related to your Nitrogen value in the tank . The algae of these tend to stick on plant that barely / slow to grow.
If u see many plants that grow so reds , in same time hair algae starts to cling like alot in your system, then it's definitely Nitrogen problem.
Easily recognize from the leaf of syngonanthus macrocaulon ( belem ) , syngonanthus meta , tonina fluviatilis . Once they turn to yellow, it's sign of the system might lacking of / heavily deprive on Nitrogen value.
Certain tank, tend to absorb Nitrogen faster than usual.
So we suggest you to add some Nitrogen from either our Dry Fert series or Single Line series.
U can dose single , double or triple dose from the recommended dosage of our Dry fert / Single line series.
Another option is to add more fishes to your system. Who doesn't like more fishes right? More fishes and feeding will compensate the lacking nitrogen value in your tank.
Orrr~
You can gamble and try to up the dosage. Either dose more ( 3-4 days instead of 1-2 days ) ,or increase the amount per pump ( few more ml than usual )
🔥 Leaf too small , the stem too thin
Definitely not enough phosphorus.
Easily track from rotala species and monte carlo.
U can do the same approach as hair algae approach, just change the fert from Nitrogen to Phosphorus.
Another option is to try increase the fert dosage ( NOVA ) .
Also u can add more fish . 30 ~ 50 fishes in 2ft tank definitely wont give u any headache related Nitrogen and phosphorus deficiency ( as long u feed them daily ) .
🔥 BBA and staghorn
Typically happens on old soil which has high CEC value.
Eventually, the soil itself will absorb iron .
Then come the time when it's too much iron in your system, thx to the amount of the value that the soil keep stocking up ( overtime ) and also from water column dosage from your NOVA.
So how to deal with this?
Cut the Nova to 1/3 to 1/2 dose. .
If things solve but plant show no sign of deficiency, then proceed with such route.
If plants show sign of deficiency, then check either which part they lacking of - either Nitrogen or Phosphorus.
Use the single line / dry fert line to compensate the lacking part.
Or again, stock more fish.
See, tank that stock alot of fish, tend to give the owner more peace of mind when compare to tank that keep so little amount of fish.
Have u guys ever read / check on the KPAM / MAC group where the scaper tend to dose the fert almost daily just to upkeep and ensure thier plants healthy?
Try to check thier amount of fish.
I bet it's so minimal.

Note
A. This approach only applicable to NOVA user. Different brand of fert pls ask your seller for further instruction.
The image show the bottom part of tonina affected by N deprivation.
The upper part alrdy ok once i dump 28 ppm Nitrogen in.
Yeah, my system eat N more than u can imagine.
