Guinea pigs are social animals.

Under the country’s Animal Protection Ordinance, social animals like guinea pigs, rats, mice, rabbits, and even birds like parrots and lovebirds must be kept in pairs or groups because they need companionship to stay healthy and happy. ❤️🐾

📘 The 182-page law (in effect since 2008) even offers advice like:
✔️ Best guinea pig group = 2–3 females + 1 neutered male
✔️ Rabbits must at least hear or smell others if kept alone

It's one of the most detailed animal welfare laws in the world! 🇨🇭🐾
