*Life as a pet sitter..*

Mutters of dissatisfaction are audible every nook and cranny. The general verdict is one of man's greatest compulsion - striking a balance between living and livelihood.

The race to climb the corporate ladder, making a name, the desire to be recognised, the freedom to spend and increasing one's purchasing power, elevating one's social and economic status. Man's extrinsic desires fulfilled but the soul remains bereft of fulfillment.

A widespread phenomenon with an elementary fix. When man's desires are dovetailed to divine consciousness, dissatisfactions transform into satisfaction.

Such gratification to unconditionally serve nature's beings of a different species. The common language spoken - love and compassion. Animals, inherent creatures of nature thrive on instincts. For man to comprehend, heavy reliance placed on intuition, gently guided by a higher power in full knowing that duties discharged, matters. Thus, yielding an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.

Aren't we a lucky lot, abundantly blessed ❤️

Some months ago, we had one cute lil grumpy client on board with us - Bonnie! ...haha..she's pretty much a loner and doesn't like anyone invading her space. She'll grrrr at any dog that passed by and sometimes charge at them. So, for her, we provided a barrier and she was happy. Took her a couple of days to explore our home. Of course, when the others was resting/sleeping, we'd encourage her to explore, but on her own terms. She'd run out to pee/poo and straight back into her private den..quirky lil one this girl 😅

Dearest Yangae (doggie on wheelies), was curious about Bonnie but Bonnie didn't want to have anything to do with him as you can see..😄

p/s: Yangae crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully yesterday morning. He was slightly more than 18.5 years old ❤

When our dogs grow old, it's when they need us the most. Meet Yangae (an 18.5yo Shetland Sheepdog, a regular guest at D's Pet Cottage) & Soul, a 14yo Dalmatian who's a family member at D's Pet Cottage. Both have mobility issues and are on doggie wheelchair.

We're experienced with geriatric dog care, palliative care through years of caregiving for our own dogs. Caregiving for senior/sick dogs isn't that much different than caring for an elderly human. It is a very demanding and laborious job, but a highly rewarding one especially when you have the passion to perform these tasks with love. We love what we do :)
