Heshmael's Clinic for Pets A humble clinic located in Kota Damansara. We provide hospitalization & boarding services to all pets. We do see exotics, preferably via appointment basis.

A small animal practice that began in 2002, but at the current location from 2004. Alhamdulillah it was a dream come true, to have established my childhood dream, jazakAllah khayran to both my beloved parents for being supportive. Heshmael, as many may ponder and wonder how did it come about, during my penpal days I liked to sign off as Has. Ismail, which later friends spelt as H. Ishmael, probabl

y because of my hand-writing. so it then occurred to me, why not: HESHMAEL. Yes we do see canines, as I myself am blessed with a tribal pack of salukis and one rescued Afghan hound, apart from the 8 geriatric pedigreed cats at home. We do treat other pets like rabbits, cavies, hamsters, and other rodents; also birds and reptiles in a restricted sense. We have an X-ray machine, and in-sha Allah an ultrasound by end of 2015. We also provide grooming services to pet cats, dogs and rabbits; housecalls and home-visits (via appoinments only). Boarding facilities are also provided, and we separate felines from the canines *GRIN*.

This senior almost 11 year old Maltese terrier cross neuter was presented with the complaint of poor appetite to inappetance for the last 2 weeks; and of late it had started to have seizure episodes about 2-3 times for the past week. Sadly for the past few days it had exhibited hind leg weakness.

Currently in this clip: stabilising the dog with direct oxygen.

This was a case involving a senior 12 year old toy poodle 🐩 where a growth from the buccal cavity was removed and cauterised plus a teeth scaling was done too.

Alhamdulilah the poodle has started to eat this morning and looking bright and active.

The removed mass would be sent to the vet school labs for a biopsy.

Indeed, any oral tumour in any senior dog, particularly in the buccal cavity (cheek area), is always of a serious concern, with possibilities of malignant melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and fibrosarcoma being the most common types.

Older dogs are more susceptible to these tumours, which can manifest as lumps, bleeding, bad breath, difficulty eating, and excessive drooling.

Diagnosis often requires biopsies and potentially immunohistochemistry for definitive identification.

Alhamdulillah the 2 Maine C**n kittens have more or less settled in, even the more timid one {the one with less white (most likely a red classic tabby)}was showing interest to the kitty teaser.

Both were suspected of having a mild viral flu.

This was ultrasound taken just now of a pregnant DSH that had been in a car accident yesterday.

The main reason for doing the ultrasound to this stabilised queen was to see if the foetuses were still viable and alhamdulillah we had detected heartbeats; also to enable the ultrasound machine to estimate the gestation of the queen a stray rescue, of which it was estimated 56 days: so another week for full term, in sha Allah 🤲🏽😻🤲🏽!

These two Maine C**n almost 3 month old red classic tabby & white kittens, both males and littermates were presented earlier with the complaint of mild eye discharge with intermittent sneezing, but apart from that, both have been eating very well and have been super active at their new home for the past 2 weeks or so.

However one had a slight temperature upon presentation and their owner had decided to hospitalise them since owner had to be away for a working trip.

Despite having received their first vaccination at the breeder’s prior to rehoming, will not prevent any kitten from acquiring a viral infection especially in a new home with another kitten that was also recent acquired by the owner recently. The ideal rehoming period is when the kitten has acquired all the kitten shots or at least the last kitten shot to be at more than 4 months of age, but most owners would prefer younger more adorabella looking kittens rather than older ones.

Nonetheless most importantly, kittens need to eat and eating on their own despite any infection will usually indicate a positive progress, in sha Allah 🤲🏽😻🤲🏽!

Notice in this post: one kitten was more confident than the other that was more shy especially to a new environment.
