Cat Beach Cat Beach Sanctuary is the beachside "last resort" for 300+rescued cats, located on Teluk Bahang beach, Penang island, Malaysia. ADOPT A CAT!

Open every day from 9 am until dark, admission is by donation. Non-Profit, No-Kill, Cats-Only Sanctuary Cat Beach is a Sanctuary and loving home for 250+ cats rescued from desperate situations. We are based right on the beach in the small fishing village Teluk Bahang in Penang, Malaysia. The sanctuary is still under renovation so that we can provide the best possible care for all our furry little

friends! In order to make these vital changes we are always thinking of new ways to raise funds and raise awareness of our cause. Cat Beach is a “no-kill” sanctuary. DONATE

There are now close to 300 hungry cats in the Sanctuary and surrounding area to feed daily, plus lots of other expenses for cleaning supplies, vet care, volunteer support, maintenance and renovations, and more. If you would like to donate, there are several methods:

Cat Beach is always looking for helping hands! If you have any time to spare and would be interested in volunteering with us, please get in touch. You do not need previous experience; you just need to love cats! OUR HEROES - MALAYSIA'S FUTURE VETERINARIANS. This week UPM Veterinary students arrive for their industrial training. Come meet them for a PURR-FECT DAY AT THE BEACH this coming weekend, August 2 & 3. Please help support Cat Beach Sanctuary's efforts to offer educational opportunities for young people. This is the 3rd time that Malaysia's #1 veterinary school has sent students to train at Cat Beach. Many others come to volunteer and learn about cats including most recently, students from TARUMT and Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots. These programs have real costs and Cat Beach has to find funds to support their training including staff costs and veterinary and grooming supplies. SPEND THE DAY AT THE BEACH WITH CATS! Cat Beach Sanctuary is located on the lovely Teluk Bahang Beach in Penang island's northwest corner, just 10 minutes walk from the National Park. Bus 101 or 102, get off at the 1st stop in Teluk Bahang and walk to the beach. Driving? Park outside by the Ah Tong Cafe on Jalan Teluk Awak. Please watch out for cats, children and other creatures. WORK WITH CATS! Want a job, volunteer or internship experience that is deeply meaningful and memorable? Come help out at Cat Beach Sanctuary. You will learn so much about cats and can make a real difference in their lives.

Congratulations to CB Team members who are getting married, will have a baby soon, or will be traveling. Their work is greatly appreciated and they will be missed! But we must fill their shoes with kind hard-working cat lovers - short or long term, full-time or flexible part-time, paid or donated time as volunteers. Committed Interns may also receive a variety of benefits.

Requirements: Must love cats and want to help them. English, Malay, Chinese, other languages spoken - some English helpful. No special skills required but will try to match your abilities to the many tasks.

Cat Beach is a Sanctuary and loving home for 250 plus cats rescued from desperate situations. As our name suggests, we are located right on the beach in the small fishing village Teluk Bahang in Penang, Malaysia. The sanctuary is under renovation of our spaces so that we can provide the best possible care for all of our furry little friends!
