This mornings hilarity at The Pets Hotel Miri. My own doggo, Brock got to come along and have some fun! Needless to say I think they had a lot of fun fun fun in the sun sun sun 😁😁😁 Could watch them play like this allllll day - but I was melting ……

Bubbles first loose leash session. We did a quick loose leash tune up then headed out into the big wide world to see how she did so I could start figuring out where I can help out!

Ultimately she did great cruising along on a 6ft loose leash periodically checking in and dealing with the local stray population 😍

Looking forward to seeing her progress over the next 7 days 🥰🥰

Everyone say hello to the beautiful Bubbles 🥰🥰 She is staying at The Pets Hotel Miri where I am going to start working with her to help iron out a few small things for her family. I have never worked with her before so I wanted to test out her food drive, prey drive and also impulse control so I could have an understanding of where she is at so a plan can be made….. Buddy was also there and because he knows these games so well he wanted to join it too 🤣 Bubbles is on my left and Buddy on my right …. Enjoy the happy lab tails I know I did 😍

Tuesday morning blues - no way not with Mario, Max, Droozy, Bobo and Little Man to get your day started right!

The Pets Hotel Miri, as always, is getting busier for the next few weeks so I am delighted to go and help
out walking this fabulous bunch.

Hand feeding is THE BEST WAY to start to build a good positive relationship with any dog in your life. Brock has been hand fed from a puppy and the benefits are still shining through even now he is 3!
It builds a starter picture in the dogs mind that good things happen when they engage with you ….
That if they try their best to understand your requests there is fantastic reward…..
It allows the owner to work the dogs brain (10mins brain work is said to equal 1 hr physical work!)……
From a new puppy arriving in your home it gives you oodles of opportunity to start working on how they physically interact with you. Teaching them from day one to be calm around food and being fed from the hand. It teaches them not to bite your hand (painful process to start with but sooooo worthwhile!). It helps you start to build impulse control along with a lot of other key basic behaviours you really want to have as they grow older.
I don’t know about everyone else but I sure as heck much prefer a calm relaxed doggo in the house and this is always the perfect way to get that embedded! Happy Hand Feeding Folks (just remember to have a rag nearby to wipe the slobbers onto 😁)
