When we first started on this journey, one thing we quickly realized was how easy it is to become overwhelmed when trying to do better for our animals.
The information overload. Conflicting opinions. Endless marketing claims. Expert advice everywhere.
And sometimes it felt like the more we learned (and unlearned), the more we started questioning everything. Food. Ingredients. Gut health. Stress. Supplements. Toxins. Environment.
But over the years, one of the biggest things experience has taught us is this:
Holistic health is not about perfection. It is also staying aware, understanding, education, connection, and supporting the body more intentionally over time.
We’ve also learned the importance of staying grounded, aware, open minded, and thoughtful. While not everything in the holistic space is fully research backed, studies, transparency, formulation quality, sourcing, and evidence still matter deeply to us.
At the same time, we also recognize that not everything meaningful or beneficial has extensive funding or large scale studies behind it yet either. Sometimes experience, observation, traditional knowledge, emerging research, and integrative thinking all help shape a bigger picture (for us).
Small changes matter more than people realize.
Better balanced nutrition. Cleaner ingredients. Supporting the gut. Reducing stressors. Creating a calmer and healthier environment. Over time, these things add up.
We’ve also learned that healing is often layered and non linear. There will be adjustments, setbacks, learning curves, and moments where you question if you are doing enough.
Sometimes we cannot out supplement stress, overwhelm, poor nutrition, routines, or lack of foundations.
Food matters deeply, and so do stress levels, sleep, nervous system regulation, movement, rest, environment, and overall balance.
And perhaps one of the most important things we’ve learned is this:
you do not need to do everything perfectly overnight.
If you are trying to learn, becoming more aware, and making more intentional choices for your animals, we applaud you. You are doing the best you can with what you know at this time. And that is enough 🤍
