It is true, you can sometimes find Bengal kittens priced very low, but in most cases, these will not have the bright colours and vivid markings that you see on Bengals pictured on websites or in magazines. There is a lot of expense involved in raising quality kittens, more than most people realise. We breed Bengals just is a time consuming hobby, but also a lot of fun. Some enthusiasts prefer the smaller Asian Leopard Cat (ALC) style markings because they closely reflect the breed’s original ancestry and natural heritage. Others are drawn to clouded style patterns because of their uniqueness, visual impact, and the difficulty involved in producing them consistently.

In reality, both styles have their own value and significance.

ALC inspired patterns represent the history and foundation of the Bengal breed, preserving the visual characteristics inherited from its wild ancestor. In contrast, Clouded Leopard inspired patterns demonstrate how selective breeding can expand the visual diversity and artistic possibilities within the breed.

Clouded Leopard style patterning in Bengal cats is not something naturally associated with the Asian Leopard Cat or the original foundation of the Bengal breed. Rather, it is the result of deliberate selective breeding carried out over multiple generations.

While smaller ALC style markings are closer to the breed’s ancestral appearance and are generally more readily inherited, producing a well balanced clouded pattern with strong outlining, smooth flow, and overall harmony requires a far more complex level of selection and planning.

For this reason, many breeders view the development of high quality clouded patterned Bengals as a combination of genetic science and breeding artistry. It is not simply about producing a beautiful cat, but about achieving a visual expression that did not originally exist within the breed’s ancestral species.

Importing a cat involves many costs such as veterinary documents, permits, customs clearance, flight arrangements, and transportation expenses.

If the starting costs already feel stressful or overwhelming, it is important to remember that the real responsibility only begins once your furry companion arrives home. Caring for a cat is a lifelong commitment that includes quality food, regular veterinary care, vaccinations, supplements, grooming, and daily necessities. All of these require continuous love, attention, time, and financial stability.

As breeders and caretakers of these precious fur babies, it is our responsibility to ensure that every potential owner is truly prepared emotionally, financially, and mentally before welcoming a cat into their family. The communication and inquiry process helps us understand the level of readiness, commitment, and environment that will shape the kitten’s future life.

Among breeders, financial preparedness is often seen as part of responsible ownership. It is never about judging someone’s wealth or background. Chef has just finished steaming pumpkin for Adidik Still warm and fresh, so we need to let it cool down a little before serving.

Adidik needs enough nutrition and energy because she is currently nursing her kittens If her babies do not nurse for around 2 hours, her milk bar becomes full and swollen because her little ones are strong milk drinkers.

Today’s special menu steamed pumpkin mixed with homemade chicken stock prepared specially for our lovely mama cat

The moment Chef entered the kitchen, Adidik was already waiting patiently. Those round eyes said it all… “Chef… hurry up… I’m hungry…”
