😾 Day 1: He wanted nothing to do with us.

Growling, hissing, lunging, and trying to attack whenever we came near. His stress level was so high that even the other boarding cats could feel it.

Instead of forcing interaction, we gave him what he needed most: time, patience, and a safe space.

We spoke softly, stayed at his eye level, used slow blinking, Feliway, and allowed him to settle at his own pace.

❤️ Day 4: Everything changed.

The same cat who once saw us as a threat started rubbing against our hands and asking for affection.

Sometimes, “aggressive” cats aren’t aggressive at all.
They’re simply scared and overwhelmed.

Trust cannot be forced.
Trust is earned.

Hyo boarded with us twice before in 2024, and he was always such a chill and gentle boy 🖤

But today when he came back, he was completely different. Angry, defensive, sensitive, and trying to attack anyone nearby.

We may never know what he went through, but one thing I’ve learned after working with cats for years…
Cats don’t suddenly become aggressive for no reason.

Sometimes fear, stress, or a bad experience can completely change their behaviour.

So instead of forcing him, we gave him space, stayed patient, and slowly rebuilt trust again.

By evening, Hyo finally accepted treats from us and started calming down 🥺

Reminder:
An “aggressive” cat is not always a bad cat.
Sometimes they’re just scared and trying to protect themselves. 🖤
