Five beautiful poodles (or poodle mixes) have been rescued by Cares Shelter, and now they’re ready to find the forever homes they’ve always deserved. Each of these sweet souls has their own unique personality—some are playful, others are calm, but they all share one thing: an endless capacity for love. 💖

Rescue dogs are more than just pets—they're second chances, waiting to fill your heart with joy and gratitude. These furkids have faced challenges, but their spirits remain strong, and their love is unconditional. They don’t need much, just a safe place to call home, some cuddles, and a family that understands how special they are. 🐾

Adopting a rescue isn’t just about giving them a home; it’s about giving them hope. They’ve been through so much, but when you open your heart to them, they repay you tenfold with loyalty and love.

Today, I finally got the courage to visit Zeus, the stray furkid I used to care for around my old neighborhood. Even though I moved away, I still make sure to send food monthly and have a kind auntie help feed him daily. Honestly, I’ve been avoiding seeing him because I knew I’d get too attached again, and all I can really do for him is provide food. It’s a tough feeling, not being able to do more. After a whole year, he still remembers me! He came running, tail wagging, to greet me. I gave him five pieces of fried chicken, and after he finished, he went for a little walk.

It’s bittersweet though. While he recognizes me, he’s not as close as before. Maybe in his doggy world, he’s learned that I’m no longer around, and even though I still take care of him from afar, he doesn’t fully get it.
But I don’t blame him for not understanding.

I know some of you might wonder why I didn't just bring him with me when I moved or how I could leave him behind. Please understand, I have six furkids already, and where I live now is super strict, so adding another isn’t an option. All I can do is keep him fed and make sure he’s got water.

If anyone is looking to give Zeus a forever home, he’s a super loyal and manja boy. He’s really low maintenance and would be happy with a little shelter and food. If you have a spot for him, he’d make an amazing companion. ❤️

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Toothless, our brave tripod cat, passing away yesterday at 9:38 PM after her battle with cancer. Toothless came into our lives on 23/12/2023, found roaming near my workplace with a broken front leg that had healed crooked. She struggled with constant abrasions and wounds from dragging her leg, but despite that, her spirit was unmatched. After her rescue, we made the tough decision to amputate her leg, and from that moment on, she was reborn.

Toothless found a loving home with my co-rescuer, Balqis, where she thrived, sharing a bed with her and the other cats, and showing us her playful, mischievous side. She proved that no matter the odds, you can still live a full and joyful life.

Run free now…..little angel….
Till we meet again……one day….
Thank you, Balqis Qis, for giving her such a beautiful life in her final year. Your love and care made all the difference.
Rest in peace, Toothless……

Four years ago, a timid, slim stray appeared near my house. That was the day I met Mimi. She was cautious, keeping her distance at first, but slowly, trust began to bloom. She started coming to my house every evening when I called her for dinner. It became our little ritual—her figure escorting my car all the way home, waiting patiently as I parked.

Feeding Mimi wasn’t just a routine; it was a bond. For four years, it became a part of my life, a quiet promise to care for a soul who had been left behind. Abandoned by her owners when they moved away, Mimi waited in the same spot for six long years, loyal to people who never looked back. Her resilience broke my heart but also inspired me—how could such a small creature hold so much love despite being left behind?

When I heard she was injured, she was rushed to the vet. She was weak, but Mimi, being Mimi, started to recover, eating well and showing her smiles again. I thought we had more time. But then the news came. That message hit me like a wave, stealing my breath away. Mimi was gone.

Mimi, you were so much more than a stray. You were my guardian, my reminder of strength, loyalty, and love. You trusted me to be there when others weren’t.

Run free now, little one, across the rainbow bridge with Oreo, Jaka, Muffin, and Narak. The streets are quieter without you, but your memory will forever echo in my heart. Thank you for letting me be a part of your story. 💔
