𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗜𝗟 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗢 𝗝𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗬

Some stories are more than just about dogs. They are about trust, friendship, family, and the bonds that distance can never break.
During the 2021 lockdown period, Tiri from Fiji and Susan from New Zealand, who were living in Singapore, contacted me in search of a healthy, well-bred English Bulldog to become part of their family. As fate would have it, our paths crossed, and after careful consideration, they chose IL CASTELLO JERRY.
From that very day, Jerry became more than just a puppy sold by a breeder. He became a beloved member of the Shaw family.
Over the years, Tiri and Susan never missed a month of updating me with videos and photos of Jerry. Watching him grow, thrive, and live his best life brought me immense happiness. As a breeder, there is no greater reward than knowing a puppy you bred is loved and cherished every single day.
In January 2026, I received a message from them. They would soon be relocating from Singapore to China before eventually retiring in New Zealand. However, there was one thing that was never negotiable:
Jerry was going with them.
Leaving him behind was never an option because Jerry is family.
To me, this was exactly what responsible breeding is all about. We do not breed puppies simply to find homes. We breed companions that become lifelong family members.
With their trust in me, I immediately started working with my team, partners, and connections to ensure Jerry could safely relocate together with his family.
Then came a surprise that touched me deeply.
Before their move to China, Tiri and Susan decided that Jerry should first return to Malaysia to spend some time with his breeder. They wanted Jerry to have one last holiday before beginning his next adventure. They wanted him to give me a final kiss goodbye and one huge bulldog hug.
Those moments will forever remain close to my heart.
While Jerry enjoyed his stay in Malaysia, I continued working behind the scenes, coordinating every detail to ensure his journey to China would be smooth, safe, and stress-free.
Eventually, the day arrived.
I personally accompanied Tiri, Susan, and Jerry to the airport. We checked in together, shared laughs, memories, and finally said our goodbyes.
It was one of those moments that remind you why you do what you do.
Not as a businessman.
Not as a breeder.
But as someone who genuinely cares about every life entrusted to him.
Thankfully, Jerry landed safely in China, and the customs clearance process went smoothly. Knowing that he had arrived safely and was reunited with his family brought tremendous relief and joy.
To all my Bulldoggers, I have always said this:
As long as I am alive, and as long as you trust me, I will always do my best to help.
Whether it is breeding, guidance, support, or making the impossible possible, I will always stand behind every puppy that carries the IL CASTELLO name and every family that places their trust in me.
Jerry, we already miss you here in Malaysia.
You became such a superstar that even the DVS veterinarians were asking about you.
But this is not goodbye.
In this very big world, paths have a funny way of crossing again.
One day, whether it is in China, New Zealand, or somewhere unexpected, I know we will meet again.
