Updates on GUAI GUAI 🐾

Guai Guai has been discharged from AMC. The bill at AMC was fully paid by the kind-hearted students who rescued and brought him for treatment. We are truly grateful for their compassion and effort in helping this poor boy. ❤️

We initially planned to bring Guai Guai to Pets First Vet in Kepong, but unfortunately the surgeon was unavailable at that time. We then rushed him to Animed Mahkota Cheras, where Dr Hoo, who is also a surgeon, was in the middle of performing a spinal surgery on another doggo.

Dr Mark attended to Guai Guai and recommended immediate warding for close monitoring and further assessment. Dr Hoo will be examining Guai Guai tomorrow and will advise us on the next course of action and treatment plan.

At this moment, we are still hoping and praying for the best outcome for this poor boy. 🙏

If anyone is willing to support Guai Guai’s upcoming medical bills, kindly channel your donation to:

Is this your dog?

This dog was involved in an accident along the MEX Highway near Bukit Jalil. A kind-hearted motorcyclist stopped his bike to prevent the dog from being hit, but sadly the dog was eventually struck by a car.

The same person then sought help from the highway patrol to move the injured dog to safety and brought the dog to the Kuchai LRT station while searching for a pet taxi.

The dog was later sent to St Angel’s Veterinary Clinic for further treatment.

Please help us identify the owner or anyone who may know this dog.

Note: The person who rescued and helped the dog is not a rescuer and has never handled a dog before in his life. He acted purely out of compassion and humanity. Respect and gratitude to this kind soul for not walking away. 🙏🐾

💔 PLEASE DON'T LET GUAI GUAI'S STORY END HERE 💔

GUAI GUAI was found lying by the roadside after being knocked down by a car. Alone, injured, and unable to help himself, he could have been left there to suffer.

Thankfully, kind students from Cyberjaya stopped and chose compassion. They rushed him to a vet in KL, hoping they could save him.

Now they are facing the most painful decision imaginable.

The doctors have given only two options — proceed with treatment or put him to sleep.

GUAI GUAI has only 24 hours left for a decision to be made.

How do you decide whether a life should continue? How do you look into those eyes and choose for him?

GUAI GUAI is still here. He is still fighting. He still wants a chance to live, to feel love, safety, and kindness.

The students are desperately asking for help. MAWA is unable to take him in because our disabled kennel is already full, but we cannot ignore his cry for help.

Today we are reaching out to everyone with a kind heart — can someone step forward for GUAI GUAI? Can someone give him the chance he deserves?

Please help us write a different ending for him.

Jackson, our heartworm warrior, was admitted again last Saturday after suffering from diarrhea and refusing to eat for two days.

A few days earlier, we had already brought him to Animed Mahkota after noticing that he was breathing heavily. Upon examination, the vet discovered a large amount of fluid had accumulated in his abdomen and successfully drained approximately 900ml.

Despite the fluid removal, Jackson still refused to eat and later began vomiting, which led to his admission for further treatment and close monitoring. An X-ray was taken to assess the condition of his lungs due to the harsh breathing sounds, and blood tests were also carried out to ensure his organs were functioning properly.

Over the past few days, the doctors at Animed Mahkota have been closely monitoring Jackson’s breathing pattern and food intake. Advocate treatment has also been administered as part of his ongoing care.
We are relieved to share that Jackson is now stable enough to be discharged. While this is encouraging news, his fight against heartworm is not over yet, and he still needs continuous care and support.

Please continue to keep Jackson in your prayers as he continues his battle against heartworm. ❤️

Kindly channel your donations for Jackson’s treatment and recovery to:
