On 22 April 2025, someone dumped an almost-dying kitten at our gate, a day when we were closed. Fortunately we saw this kitten. He arrived with severe head injuries, dehydration, and wounds infested with worms. We rushed him into emergency care — today he’s fully recovered, FIV/FeLV negative, playful, and overflowing with love.

Therefore, he’s named “22” after the date he was dumped , the day his life changed for the better. He even saved another cat by donating blood. As much as we want to keep him, he deserves a life beyond a cage: a warm home, a caring furparent, and plenty of playtime.

We’re grateful he was rescued, but please don’t shift responsibility to others. If you’re unable to care for a pet, seek help, rehome responsibly, or contact shelters and rescues instead of abandoning animals.

22 is now ready for adoption to a serious, loving home only. If you can offer a safe, permanent home (or know someone who can), please let us know. Share to help him find the family he deserves ❤️

Our brave little Mei Mei has been battling bilateral hip luxation for quite some time. She came to us to discuss surgery and even took the extra step to prepare herself through multiple physiotherapy sessions , all to ensure a smoother recovery afterwards.

Her right femoral head was highly mobile, popping in and out of the joint anytime, anywhere. Some days, her X-rays showed the femoral head perfectly in place, and just a month later, it was completely out of the joint again.

After careful evaluation and considering her symptoms, we decided to operate on the right hip first through an Excisional Arthroplasty procedure — a surgery performed to remove the femoral head and relieve pain caused by chronic hip luxation.

Thanks to her strong spirit (and her amazing post-op care team), Mei Mei recovered wonderfully, walking steadily again just a few days after surgery!

Her journey isn’t over yet, once her right leg is fully stable she’ll proceed with the left femoral head removal. But for now, she’s all smiles and finally feeling more comfortable with less pain and more joy.

She has also been well cared for by her loving groomer team and physiotherapy team, and our nurses absolutely adore her. ❤️
Together, we make a difference -> one furry friend at a time.

Our brave 8-year-old patient Frost, came in with a right hip luxation, which made it hard for him to walk normally. After careful discussion, his owner opted for surgical intervention to give Frosty the best chance at regaining his mobility.

Frosty underwent an Excisional Arthroplasty surgery, where the femoral head is removed so it no longer rubs against the joint. This procedure is commonly performed in small dogs up to 25kg. For larger patients, a total hip replacement is usually recommended.

It’s also crucial to identify the exact location of injury through X-ray, as this determines the surgical incision site and plays a big role in recovery. Confirming whether it’s the left or right leg is an essential step before surgery.

We’re so proud to share Frosty’s recovery journey. By the time we removed his stitches, he was already walking and sitting so much better!

A big round of applause to Frosty for being such a strong boy, and to his loving family for trusting us with his care.

We would also like to give a big shoutout to our nursing team, who took such good care of Frosty throughout his stay. 💕 A team effort is always better than a vet alone. Together we make recovery possible.

Meet Sophie 💛
In our last case, a brave 4-year-old Golden Retriever fought through pyometra. This time, it was Sophie, a 14-year-old cutie, facing the same life-threatening condition.

Her family struggled with the decision—is surgery worth the risk at her age?
It’s a tough call, and we understand. But they chose to try… to give her a second chance.

And here she is—Sophie made it through. A full recovery! ❤️

Too often, surgery gets declined simply because of age. But to us, it’s about the chance. Yes, surgery is a risk—but doing nothing is a greater one. Without it, it’s a downhill road: sepsis, suffering, and no way back.

So here’s to Sophie, her loving family, and believing in possibilities—no matter the age 🐾✨

This is Angel.
A sweet golden retriever, full of love and life.

At just 4 years old, she suddenly wasn’t herself—
Quiet, uncomfortable, and clearly not well.

She was diagnosed with pyometra,
a serious uterine infection that can be life-threatening.

Thankfully, her family noticed the subtle signs and acted quickly.
Emergency surgery saved her life.

Today, Angel is back to her joyful, tail-wagging self!

Pyometra can happen at any age—even as early as 1 year old.
One decision made all the difference for Angel.
Let’s keep more tails wagging❤️

Mot was just a tiny kitten when he started struggling to breathe and stopped eating. 💔 It broke our hearts to see him like that. He was diagnosed with pyothorax — a serious infection in his chest. After draining the fluid, he started to feel better within days. Now, he’s active, curious, and showing his fighting spirit again. We’re so proud of him!

🐾 Meow Meow’s Fight for Life 🐾

In September 2024, Meow Meow came to us—barely breathing, her tiny chest rising with every labored breath. She had been diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia, a life-threatening condition where the organs push into the chest, making it hard to breathe.

Without hesitation, her loving owner chose to fight for her life through surgery. Cost was a concern, but love knows no limits. With unwavering determination, they raised the funds needed to give Meow Meow a real chance.

Diaphragmatic hernia repair is one of the most delicate surgeries—requiring a whole team to monitor vitals, manage anesthesia, control blood pressure, breathing, temperature, and more. It’s never a one-person job.

We want to thank our incredible Kenique team nurses, who poured their hearts into keeping Meow Meow safe during the most critical moments. 💉💖

This was not just a surgery.
It was love, teamwork, and hope in action.

Say Hi to Rory! This little guy has been a true survivor since the beginning. From a young age, he roamed the neighborhood, full of curiosity and energy, but one day, he was brought in with a non-weight-bearing left hind leg.

After a visit to the vet, Rory was diagnosed with a comminuted fracture in his left femur — a tough diagnosis that meant his recovery would be anything but simple. Due to the nature of the fracture, Rory needed to undergo strict cage rest for an extended period to heal properly.

But Rory is a fighter. With time, patience, and plenty of love, his recovery has been incredible. He’s not just walking again, he’s running, playing, and bringing joy to everyone around him! His journey is a reminder that even in the face of adversity, resilience and care can lead to amazing transformations. ❤️

We’re so proud of you, Rory!

Hi everyone, I’m Jaysie, and I’m an older patient who’s been through a lot lately. My tummy started to grow bigger, and I felt so uncomfortable. It became hard to breathe, and I didn’t feel like eating. My mum and dad were worried and took me to Kenique Veterinary Centre, where they decided to go ahead with a risky surgery.

The doctors warned that my condition was complicated – they weren’t sure if the mass could be removed or if it had caused any adhesions inside me. But mum and dad made the decision to give me a chance for a better life.

I’m so relieved to share that after surgery, they removed a 1.3kg splenic mass, along with both ovarian tumors. I feel so much better now! I can breathe easily, eat, walk, and play without any discomfort. I even have the energy to scold my mum and dad every day! 🐾

I’m grateful for this second chance to live happily with my family. My advice to all my furry friends: annual or bi-annual check-ups are so important! It’s not just about blood work – make sure you get an ultrasound and X-ray to check for any lumps or masses. Prevention is always better than cure! 💖

Teddy, our little heart warrior. ❤️

He came in struggling with severe respiratory distress, gasping for breath. After a thorough examination, we discovered he had severe pulmonary edema due to heart disease. 🫁💔

With prompt treatment—including intravenous medications and continuous rate infusions—Teddy is now on the road to recovery and back to his happy self at home with his loving owner! 🐾❤️

While we know Teddy’s heart disease is serious, our focus is on keeping him comfortable and breathing well. Look at him today, full of life and joy.

Heart disease can often be silent, showing no obvious symptoms until it’s advanced. That’s why regular check-ups are crucial! Early detection allows us to manage conditions effectively, prolonging our pets’ lives and enhancing their comfort. Let’s prioritize our furry babies’ health together!

🐾✨ Meet our brave little kitties who just underwent dental extractions! ✨🐾

🌟 Sammy: You’d never guess he had 7 teeth removed! His rotten tooth is gone, and he’s a happy kid again!

🌟 Mimi: Our sweet geriatric girl was suffering from toothaches and inflamed gums. After a total of 16 extractions, she was able to eat right away post-surgery! Her recovery was simply incredible.

🌟 Baby Jojo: Now a senior, she still looks like a princess! Her owner carefully considered the risks of dental surgery due to her age but decided it was time. They knew her teeth were causing issues, and she has recovered beautifully!

Cats often hide their pain due to high tolerance, making dental issues hard to detect. Regular dental check-ups and good hygiene are crucial! While age can increase the risk of procedures, proper safety precautions and pain management can minimize those risks.

Dental work can be challenging, requiring patience and care to extract tooth roots properly, which is why it can be pricey. Remember: prevention is better than cure! 🦷💖
