Some days, it really feels like the world is conspiring against us. We spent the entire day trying to trap dogs… and caught absolutely nothing—not even a glimpse of success.
First location? The feeders were so enthusiastic, they fed the dogs before our scheduled time with them to trap the dogs. (Despite our reminders to not feed). We arrived to a bunch of dogs with full bellies, mission sabotaged by the feeders.
Second location? Construction nearby, full blast. Every stray vanished like magic.
Third location? Two feeders in a cold war. No communication, no cooperation… and definitely no dogs.
It is already tough enough—difficult landscapes with dogs that are skittish. But sometimes, it’s the humans that make the mission even more impossible. Just sigh and move on. Because no matter how many times we fail, we will have to continue with our mission to create a better future for our communities and strays.
