Good morning, everyone. Just to let you all know, since our last facebook post on mon 3rd November, we have received RM700 in donations received so far as follows:-
* 3/11 from a guy - RM 300
* 4/11 50 × 2 donors RM 100
* 5/11 RM100, RM150 and RM50 = 300
Total received as at 9/11= RM700

Thanks to all who donated, prayed for us and liked/shared our post. We truly appreciate your support and care.

The following photos show how we spent the donations so far. We will continue to update.

We hope you all and other animal lovers can continue to support us in donations of cash or kind. Running costs including cost of kibbles, rice, medical supplies and vet charges are escalating.

Dear facebook friends, Furry Paws Shelter is going through very difficult times and this is a SOS post to seek your kind assistance to donate in cash or kind to help us help the 300+ dogs and 60+ cats at our shelter.

Daily, we use 1 carton (10 bottles) of saline water for subcut treatment for about 60 weak, dehydrated and sick dogs with renal issues.

Every five days, we use up one box of Sangobion for weak and sick dogs.

Daily, our furkids consume 50 to 60 kg of rice and 30kg of kibbles.

We cook 30kg of chicken liver everyday.

Therefore, monthly these food and supply expenses are more than RM13k excluding payment for rental, salaries of workers, vet bills, blood test bills, medicine prescribed by vets.

We sincerely appeal to you to donate to our shelter in cash or kind to help us give the voiceless furkids a better life, food and care at our shelter.

Please help us. All donations will be acknowledged in subsequent posts via initials/pseudonyms to protect privacy of donors.

Latest update: The senior dog Fei Fei was discharged yesterday afternoon and is recuperating at Furry Paws Shelter . Our special thanks🙏 to those who helped to contribute some funds to her bills, amounting to RM2,289.00. If you wish to donate further either for Fei Fei's bill or to the shelter, details are in the last photo. Tqvm🙏🤗😘 God bless!

This senior dog (15 years old now) is senile n walks non-stop except sleeping time. Unfortunately, due to her compromised weak limbs, she slipped while walking last Saturday and fractured one of her hind legs, yelping and whining in excruciating pain. Please refer to the x-ray pic. The cost of surgery alone is estimated to be over RM2000.😔At Furry Paws Shelter , we try our best to give our furkids the best care, regardless of their age or medical condition.

However, due to dwindling resources and rising costs of rice, kibbles, medical supplies and other bills, it is a genuine struggle for us to pay this bill, let alone meet running expenses. So far, we managed to pay RM 1000 as the deposit for the procedure. Final bill will include surgery costs, boarding fees, medication, consultation etc.

We appeal to you to help us by kindly donating to Furry Paws Shelter. Bank details are in the last pic. Your kindness and generosity will go a long way to help us in our mission to give our voiceless furkids a better quality of life. If possible, please share this post far and wide to your contacts. Dear Facebook friends and visitors, Greetings from Furry Paws Shelter . The following news report from The Star, 19th June 2024, really illustrates the genuine struggle we are facing at Furry Paws.

Not only are vet fees increasing, but also prices of medicine, supplements, medical supplies, kibbles, rice, and a lot of other goods.

The situation is expected to be more challenging following the removal of diesel subsidy.

As such, we sincerely hope that you, your friends and well-wishers, animal lovers, can help us by donating in kind or cash as our bills are increasing while resources and food supplies are dwindling. Details are in the other poster.

If possible, do share this post wide and far.

Update re rescued puppy:

Thanks to well-wishers who transferred donations for puppy's successful surgery done two days ago.

So far puppy is doing fine & eating also. Vet said can she can be discharged on Monday. Her name is Nana.

*SOS SOS SOS*

Yesterday, a feeder friend's alerted us that a puppy at a construction site was knocked down by this heavy vehicle. It was bleeding and in pain. We quickly rushed to her aid and sent it to the vet. An X-ray showed her left hip and left hind leg were fractured from the impact of the accident.

As she is of such a tender age, we can't simply turn our backs on her despite the various challenges we face daily at our shelter.

This pitiful furkid needs surgeries on both parts of her left limb that will cost at least 1,500.00.

We appeal to all friends, animal lovers, kind and compassionate people:

Can anyone be kind enough to help this poor young kid to lead a normal life by giving a donation to its surgery fund?
