Another real-life example of why spaying is so important. โœ‚๏ธ

Marshmellow, an unspayed young female cat who comes into heat frequently, developed โ€” a dangerous infection of the uterus that can turn fatal very quickly.

Her owner noticed something unusual: cream-like discharge from the va**na when she was pooping and a bloated abdomen. Because she acted fast, we were able to intervene early and perform an emergency spay before the infection worsened.

Marshmellow recovered well, and is now back home! ๐Ÿฉถ๐Ÿ

Leo, a young 2-year-old corgi who first came to us with a very swollen third eyelid gland, the classic โ€œcherry eye". It was really irritating for him, and because cherry eyes are often genetic, surgery was the best option. ๐Ÿ‘€

Post-op wasnโ€™t exactly smooth-sailingโ€ฆ Leo absolutely hated the collar and somehow kept managing to remove it and paw at his eye ๐Ÿ˜…. That caused some superficial ulcers and gave us a few heart-stopping moments.

But with patience (and a lot of teamwork from his family), he healed nicely. He got to celebrate his 2nd birthday looking cute as ever, no more cherry eye and back to his happy self. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’›

Meet Brownie, a 15-year-old poodle living with dementia and early chronic kidney disease. He was struggling with a painful, ulcerated mass on his butt that made sitting uncomfortable, caused constant bleeding, attracted flies, and required frequent cleaning.

Given his age, surgery was a higher-risk option, and the decision wasnโ€™t easy. After a thorough discussion, we decided to take a chance for Brownie, prioritizing his comfort and quality of life.

We removed the mass surgically with margins, which gives the best chance to reduce recurrence. While we didnโ€™t send the growth for further testing, our goal was to give Brownie relief and a better quality of life.

Now, heโ€™s more comfortable, able to relax, and spend his remaining time free from pain. ๐ŸคŽ

Tartar buildup hides bacteria that cause gum disease, tooth loss, bad breath, and even organ infection. Regular scaling keeps your pet healthy and pain-free.

Pets wonโ€™t stay still for deep cleaning. Anesthesia keeps them safe, comfortable, and allows us to clean under the gumline (where bacteria hides).

Food + saliva + bacteria form plaque.

Tom went missing for a week, and when he finally returned home, he came back with a badly injured tail that had already turned black, a strong foul smell, severe flu with a blocked nose, diarrhea, and heavy flea infestation.

He was stabilized, had his damaged tail amputated, and received treatment for his flu and discomfort.

Today, Tom is back home ; clean, comfortable, and feeling so much better.

Thank you to our nurses for taking such good care of him and cleaning him up like a brand new cat. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿพ

This 8-year-old rabbit developed a mass on his foreleg that kept increasing in size and was attaching to the bone, making it hard for him to walk. The mass had started to ulcerate due to abrasions with the floor whenever he moved, and was highly suspicious of osteosarcoma (bone cancer).

After much consideration of the risks, especially given his age, his family decided to go ahead with surgery to give him a second chance and hopefully allow him to live a few more years comfortably.

With his strong will, he bravely made it through the amputation surgery and came back for suture removal yesterday, looking bright and doing well. ๐Ÿฅน

Weโ€™re so proud of this tough little fighter and hope he continues to enjoy a pain-free, happy life with his loving family. ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ’š

Meet Pablo, our biggest boy yet โ€” a 46kg Doggo Argentino here for his dental procedure ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿชฅ

Since Pablo is afraid of needle pricks, we did his full health check and blood test while he was under general anesthesia for dental scaling.

His teeth werenโ€™t too bad, but prevention is always better, getting the tartar off helps keep his oral health in top shape for the long run ๐Ÿฆทโœจ

Jackqueen, an elderly poodle, came to us with very bad dental disease, most of her teeth were rotten, and one of the back molars had caused an abscess on her cheek due to infection.

After long discussion, we decided to remove all her teeth under anesthesia while getting the facial abscess drained, as keeping those painful, infected teeth would only cause her more discomfort.

๐Ÿ“Œ For senior pets like Jackqueen, there are possible risks, such as:
- anesthetic risks due to old age
- bleeding risks if thereโ€™s any hidden clotting problem

With careful monitoring, she did well throughout the procedure.

Many people worry their pets wonโ€™t be able to eat after tooth extraction, but actually itโ€™s more painful for them to eat with bad teeth. Pets can still eat very well after recovery, and Jackqueen proved it by eating right after her procedure.

Sheโ€™s now more comfortable, no more drooling, and we hope she can enjoy her golden years with better quality of life ๐Ÿ’–

Lui Lui, an elderly Frenchie, hadnโ€™t been eating for several days and was having irregular, prolonged heat cycles, something quite abnormal for her age.

Further diagnostic tests revealed that she had a uterine infection ( ), a life-threatening condition if not treated. She underwent emergency spay surgery on the very same day.

Lui Lui wasnโ€™t feeling her best for a few days after surgery, but she slowly recovered, and was finally smiling again on the day she went home ๐Ÿฅฐ

Thank you to Lui Luiโ€™s fur-pawrents for your trust in letting us care for your sweet girl โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน
