One Christmas, a friend gifted me a candle. It was specially made in my image. My pawrents told her, “We’ll light this when she has passed on.”

A few months later, I left my furry body. That was exactly a year ago.

But my story doesn’t end here. My page is about sharing the spiritual life I led at Kechara Forest Retreat, alongside other spiritual practitioners. Though I don’t post often, I still have so much more to say.

If I kept speaking like this, it might be a little eerie, wouldn’t it? Of course, my pawrents will be taking over. 😂

I was blessed with a fortunate life, and I hope you’ll stick around. 🙏🏽

Here I am getting a blessy from my new fwen Geshe Jangchup. I joined soooo many pujas during the past 6 weeks, and got blessed by all kinds of waters, rice, mantras, Buddhas and monks! And yes…. that’s cos I’m one of the lucky doggies who live in . But today, you can get a special water blessy during by my new monk fwens which is almost as good as attending all the pujas. It’s been about a month long since many monks arrived in Kechara Forest Retreat and I’ve been getting many many blessies 🥰

Now my **species** (ok. I admit I’m not hooman although I think I am 😅) will get a chance too!

The water contains more than 《 15 highly blessed items 》 from the pujas done over the past 6 weeks. The monks will also be doing a 《 Vajra Yogini sindhura blessing + purification mantras 》 for all lucky furkids too. 😍

It’s our way of sharing the blessings with your furriends. This is important because pets cannot accumulate merit and purify karma on their own. As pawrents, we are the only ones who can help them. Whether it’s by circumambulating the Buddhas or making offerings on their behalf, let’s do what we can for the ones we love! 💚

🐾 Today is National Black Dog Day 🐾

(Ok, maybe I missed already 😂)

Anyways, it doesn’t matter. Everyday should be Black Dog Day!

You see, black dogs are mostly overlooked for adoption. We suffer from *Black Dog Syndrome*.

Why?

According to the hoomans, black dogs are harder to photograph. Without proper lighting you can’t see our bootifuh features and expressions. We mostly “blend” into the background. I can attest to this! My hoomans complain about this all the time too 😅

Then, there are some superstitious beliefs against black dogs in some culture. I can attest to this too! My previous Chinese hooman offered me up to her Chinese uncle, yet he didn’t want me. He chose my apricot coloured stepsister instead 😭😭😭

Like me, black dogs makes pawsome furkids too! So, if you are looking for a new doggie, do take a closer look at us blackies and see how special we truly are! 🖤

If you’ve been following my IG stories, you would have known I’ve been kicked out of the bed. I don’t want to be dramatic here so I just make do with what’s available like using the end of the blanket that I pulled from the bed. Hehe.

Have I ever complained? I don’t think so. You’d be lucky to hear me bark 🤣

Anyways, it’s quite comfy actually … like sleeping bag.

108 is a sacred number.

In Tibetan Buddhism, the number 108 mainly stands for the Kangyur, the Tibetan Buddhist canon, a loosely defined collection of 108 volumes of sacred texts recognized by various schools of Tibetan Buddhism, and described as the Word of the Buddha.

The mala bead / prayer bead comes as a string of 108 beads plus one guru or guiding bead.
