Tiffurnys Cattery We're a show breeder located on the sunny island of Penang, Malaysia. We're registered with CFA, FIFE and WCF, and we currently show in all three.

A quiet moment with my boy in the middle of the show chaos.

He got anxious during the BIS presentation (performance anxiety! he was completely fine in the show tent) and wanted some reassurance.

Of course we all want to win, but it’s just as important to look after our cats and remind them there’s nothing to be afraid of. Shows can be overwhelming so a little patience and comfort goes a long way. At the end of the day, their well-being matters more than any title, and building their confidence is part of the journey too. ✨

Following a short break since TICA in January, we returned for our second show of the year, this time representing our cattery in WCF.

We presented two boys from our breeding (in Kitten and Junior), with Zero making his debut at just under 4 months old and kicking things off strong with a stellar BOB 1 and bagging his Kitten Champion title!

Starfish competed in a well-filled Junior class alongside beautiful Selkirks and other strong breeds, obtaining his Junior Champion title and was nominated both days for BIS. He’s maturing with good promise, and we’re excited to see how he continues to develop in the coming shows.

It was particularly encouraging to see Selkirks so well represented and recognized throughout the show, which is always a positive reflection for the minority breed. Congratulations to all winners, and looking forward to seeing everyone again in the future. ✨thank you to my groomer for my cats’ long term coat maintenance 🫶

What happens when a Selkirk gets their coat very matted…

Tiger Prawn’s coat started matting super badly due to hormones (i know, he is still SO young!), brushing and detangling couldn’t save it.
So… lion cut it is before we neuter the boy. We avoid shaving most of our cats but sometimes a shave is the only way to keep them comfy.
Unfortunately it will take some time to grow his curly coat again but maybe a new family will like him as is?😂

It’s not every day that a judge praises the current representatives of both our Selkirk and Ragdoll breeding programs in one video take, so this is a meaningful checkpoint for our cattery!

This show was more than just results for us. It was a confirmation that we’re moving in the right direction.

Watching our own bred Selkirk Rex step confidently for the first time onto the show stage already meant a lot. But having a kitten of our secondary breed, the Ragdoll, recognized as well under the same standards and philosophy meant even more.

Each breed, no matter primary or secondary, is developed and held to the same rigorous show standards for type and structure.

It reminds us why we do things the way we do:
not favoring one breed over another, not cutting corners, not giving in to trends…
but focusing on long-term consistency in structure and temperament.

Breeding isn’t about hitting jackpot and importing an excellent stud/queen or producing one excellent kitten.
It’s about consistency across litters, across generations.

At last, my lovely ex-queen steps into TICA for the very first time 🤍 This is her debut show, so she was understandably a little bit nervous than her usual self ☺️ After being spayed, she has matured so beautifully and is now in much better condition than during her time in heat. I’ve wanted to show her since she was young, and I couldn’t be happier to finally see her in the ring!!

I’m forever grateful that she gave me 2 beautiful litters and also contributed to my early Selkirk breeding program too. I especially appreciate her extroverted and affectionate personality + nice head structure + coat density that she passed on to all her offspring 🧡🧡🧡 even now she is such a chill and lovely huggable soft dense pillow 🥰

Thank you so much also to her breeder and groomer for such a wonderful girl 🩷🩷🩷
