Meet Cream 🐢💚

Cream, a red-eared slider, arrived at SANE on 8 October after her left hind leg became trapped in her tank’s water filter, causing severe injury and gangrene.

To prevent further complications, amputation was performed. Cream is now recovering under our team’s close monitoring, receiving laser therapy and supportive care to aid healing.

Her recovery journey continues, one step at a time. Get well soon, little Cream! We’re rooting for you at SANE Bangsar 💚

One of the scariest things about exotic pets is how fast they can deteriorate.

If your rabbit, hamster, guinea pig, bird, reptile, or other exotic pet suddenly:
— stops eating
— becomes quiet
— has diarrhea
— vomits
— seems less active

From Routine Spay to Life-Saving Surgery 🩺

This cat came in for what was expected to be a routine spay, but her pre-operative examination revealed pyometra, a serious uterine infection.

She was taken straight into surgery to remove the infected uterus, and thankfully, she is now awake and recovering well.

Pyometra occurs in unspayed cats when hormonal changes make the uterus more prone to bacterial infection. If left untreated, it can become life-threatening.

This is why early spaying is so important as it helps prevent serious conditions like pyometra before they become an emergency.
