My boy cat, Otto, a gift from my neighbor, is the kindest, most loving boy. He has understood the baby kittens need help, he is watchful and accepting. He watches, nips at them while licking them, playing so gently. What a cat.

The babies freak my brain. They are smaller than newborn kittens, and yet they are nearing one month. Using the cat box! They never miss! Today Beso found a tiny chunk of raw hamburger I dropped and she ate her first real food! I saw she was wanting more, so fed her a good bit. We will watch her digestion before repeating. My cats eat ground raw meat and dry cat food, much cheaper than store bought and gives super shiny coats, healthy. The little Stormy is not ready. Boys mature slower lol lol

So sleepy. As the kittens grow, they sleep less and need bottles more. I'm very tired. They are so fun and adorable and at the same time it's gut wrenching to see them try to nurse without a binky. No binkies to be found. Got one for babies and was going to trim it, but it was filled with some horrible goop. I've tried sponge, material, fuzzy blankets. It breaks my heart. So my babies have survived the loss of their mother, and at about 25 days, I think we did it. They are very small, compared to other kittens their age. We got them at approx 10 days old. They use the poddy box all by themselves, since 21 days! but sometimes I have to help the little butts expel poops. Pees are not holding back so no more need to rub their little boodies. Today a new formula is coming from Amazon. Hoping they will buck up. Beso at 120 grams, Stormy at a whopping 147 grams. Consistently gaining weight. Love this so much, but so tired. Wish I had help.

Learning and growing. My male cats have intense interest. No more hissing, just watching and smelling. We found a home for the female, Beso, I think. Stormy is still up for a good solid home.

Beso and Stormy, baby teeth in. And shocked to report they both used the litter box!!!!! This is my first time mothering such newborns, but I'm sure they can't be more than four weeks at the max. I think we got them at ten days, approximately. My heart hurts they have nothing to suckle. I hold them close but I haven't enough loose skin for suckling. They cry. Taking bottles very well, no problems. Healthy for sure. What an experience.

Stormy and Beso used the litter box!!! I showed them how to paw the sand, and both of them dug a bit and went p*e!! If course they both forgot to cover the p*e p*e. But still!!!!!

Already starting to groom, play, and go poddy without help. Already familiar with their new cat box, nice and shallow and no scent, no dust! sand. Amazing. My first orphans! A bit sleepy, I am, and I admit to crying with them for the loss of their real mom. But mostly, it's an amazing spectacle to help grow two of my very favorite critters. I can do this. Later I'll tell about the older babies' reactions. Hint: grrrrrr hissss
