A few months ago I was contacted by someone who had rescued a mama and her 3 kittens, they needed someone to take care of them for 2 months, they were going back to the states and couldn't take them because of logistics and how young the babies were. They promised me they would come back and not break their promise that they wouldn't forget about us. I get requests like these all the time by expats, tourists and by people that live here who promise me they are committed and we'll help me in every way possible. Most of the time that does not happen. I have learned through experience that if I take them in, it's because I'll be able to handle the workload, the cost and ultimately, finding them homes through my own resources. Well, I'm happy to report that in this case not only did they follow through, they were with me every step of the way and on Saturday Harina and her three babies made it to Portland. Thank you to Alice and her family for, coming through with their promise to give them the most amazing life. I will miss seeing them every morning and evening and spending time with them but I could not be happier. Happy tales kitties I love you♥️🐾
Hace unos meses me contactó una persona que había rescatado a una mamá y sus 3 gatitos, necesitaban a alguien que los cuidara durante 2 meses, ellos regresaban a los Estados Unidos y no podían llevarlos debido a la logística y a a que los gatitos eran muy bebés. Me prometieron que volverían y no romperían su promesa de que no se olvidarían de nosotros. Recibo peticiones como estas todo el tiempo de expats, turistas y personas que viven aquí que me prometen que están comprometidos y me ayudaran con todo el proceso. La mayoría de las veces eso no sucede. He aprendido a través de la experiencia que si los acepto, es porque podré manejar la carga de trabajo, el costo y encontrarles casa a través de mis propios recursos. Bueno, estoy feliz de informar que en este caso no solo siguieron cumplieron, sino que estuvieron conmigo en cada paso del camino y el Sábado Harina y sus tres bebés llegaron a Portland. Gracias a Alice y a su familia por cumplir su promesa de darles unacvida increíble. Extrañaré verlos todas las mañanas y noches y pasar tiempo con ellos, pero no podría estar más feliz. Feliz vida michis, los quiero♥️🐾
