Yesterday, Sulala Animal Rescue confirmed the news that no one wanted to hear….

Dr. Mu'ath Abj Rakba who had worked tirelessly for the animals of Gaza, had gone missing a week ago when he had tried to go back to his family home when the ceasefire came into effect. He never made it home and was confirmed deceased yesterday.

The world, the animals and people of Gaza have suffered the needless loss of an incredible individual, a person who had a family, friends, and gave his all for the animals of Gaza, never losing hope.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the entire team and his family and friends.
