Brightly coloured metallic stripes make the cardinal tetras one of the most popular fishes among aquarist . They are perfect community fishes ,extra care is a must when mixing varieties due to its small size , ie angels often predates on them , in general cardinals are relatively easy to keep and are not prone to diseases in well kept aquariums .
