Vet 4 Pet Health

Vet 4 Pet Health I am Dr. Janet Randich, working as a veterinarian at the recently opened veterinary clinic Vet 4 Pet Health Zebbug. Dr. Janet Randich
BEd. MEd.

Vet 4 Pet Health is a veterinary practice catering for small animals that has recently opened in Ħaż-Żebbuġ, with the mission of treating animals with compassion and respect, by providing the best veterinary care possible. I am currently being assisted by Jade, who is deeply dedicated and passionate about animals and is constantly caring for homeless kittens helping them find caring adoptive homes

. My love for animals has been with me since I was a young girl. As a kid, I was always surrounded by pet cats, dogs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds. Although my first two university degrees are in teaching, the desire to care for animals never left me. I embarked on my veterinary career in 2006 when I left Malta to pursue a Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College in London. This College forms part of the University of London and over the past 200 years has been one of the best international veterinary colleges, showing leadership in both veterinary medicine and science. I feel fortunate to have carried out my training there, which served as a strong foundation for my career. After graduation, I worked in several small animal clinics and hospitals in London for five years. These veterinary establishments include Animals Are Us in Hayes, Wallington Avenue Road Vets and Kydd and Kydd Veterinary Hospital in Wimbledon. In 2016 I returned to Malta, where I joined APH hospital in Ta Qali for four years. This is my next step in my career - running my own veterinary clinic whilst catering for the pets in the locality of Haz-Zebbug and surrounding areas. I am interested in dogs, cats and rabbits in particular although I would not hesitate to help other animals who are in need of veterinary care. Although my special interest is dermatology, I enjoy both medicine and surgery. When dealing with a specific case, I thrive to be thorough, investigating fully the animal's health issue with in house equipment that includes blood workups, blood pressure checks, otoscopy, ophthalmoscopy, ultrasound and microscopy. I enjoy routine surgery such as neutering and dentistry as well and do not hesitate to deal with complex ones if the situation dictates it. My private life revolves around a family with 2 children, 3 cats, a dog, a tortoise and a pond of fish. So far we have not considered new additions, although the possibility of it happening is quite high. My husband and I are keen dog walkers and my children see our pets as an integral part of our life, with my daughter already showing an interest in being a vet herself. In my free time I enjoy exploring the Maltese country-side with my family as well as gardening and swimming. I look forward to meeting the pets in the locality of Haz-Zebbug and nearby villages, both on house and clinic visits. Situated in Hal Mula area, the clinic offers a variety of services - aimed at delivering the best veterinary care possible, with enthusiasm and dedication. BVetMed MRCVS
