CM Fishroom took a break from breeding tanks and coral care to explore Europe’s largest aquarium, the incredible Oceanogràfic València
The Oceanogràfic of Valencia is Europe’s largest aquarium, located within the City of Arts and Sciences complex. Spanning approximately 110,000 sqm and containing over 42 million ltrs of water, it houses around 45,000 animals from 500 different species. The facility features various marine habitats, including the Mediterranean, Arctic, Antarctic, and tropical seas, as well as the longest underwater tunnel in Europe. Designed by architect Félix Candela, the Oceanogràfic is not only an architectural marvel but also a center for marine research, conservation, and education.
From the graceful glide of stingrays to the mesmerizing world of jellyfish and the vibrant coral reef tunnels, this place is an absolute paradise for marine lovers.
