Some nice unpublished news from the last weekend👏

Team “Origami” participated in “Latvian Winner 2025” Lure coursing competition 🇱🇻

The results:
⭐️ORY - 7/10, CQL
⭐️GABIJA - 9/10, CQL, LV VCACL (yes, this girl is running in veteran class this year - can you believe it?? 😍)

Here comes cherry on the cake 🍒
⭐️DO - 5/7, CQL, LV CACL!!! With this DO officialy closed his Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian Lure Coursing Champion titles 👏👏👏
⭐️ NOLA - 6/10, CQL, LV CACL
Nola is Ory’s daughter and we are very proud of her for getting her first CACL in the very first competition in her life. Cheers to the owners .l &

One more drop into lifetime learning process 📚🙂
16.06. Workshop on “DOG SHOWING 101 - the fundaments of showing pedigree dogs” organised by Latvijas Kinoloģiskā Federācija.
Presented by: MR. Gopi Krishnan (Malaysia) - FCI judge, experienced breeder, part of Malaysian Kennel Association.

It was announced to be the lecture where the basic issues of dog handling will be explained - what is expected of exhibitors and handlers, what is judged by experts in the ring, etc.
I can say - I got much more than expected, and definitely much broader view on the things than just the handling.

My main highlights and takeaways were related to the topic “What is a good breeder?”
➡️ Good breeder has genuine love for the breed and is known for willingness to help others
➡️ Breeder should act as a mentor in everything - promoting pedigree dogs, introducing you with the dog shows and other possibilities in the “dogs world” etc.
➡️ Breeder should have a mindset of “What can we do together with the owners to promote the breed?” rather than just selling the puppy.
➡️ If your breeder has never been successful at anything, how can you be successful? (here can be some exceptions, of course… But if to return to the point Nr.1 about mentoring, then the person who does not have experience in different angles of this, can’t mentor you successfully; even worse - they can put down your initiatives easily).
➡️ Even if you are breeder by yourself, have several mentors and be active part of the community to be able to formulate your own view and breeding/showing program. Collaborate.

And the most important thing from yesterday… if you want to be a breeder, or show your dog, or simply to be a good dog owner - stay always WILLING TO LEARN and BEING TEACHABLE! 🙏❤️

Thank you for such a superb opportunity to look on the things from the same knowledge, but different angles.

Got you!!! 🐇👏👏👏 The Lure Coursing season 2025 started with training runs for Do. He has become such a cheater! Looks like Gabija has spent whole winter in coaching sessions with Do and helped him to set the goals for his life - to act more “smart” on the field and CATCH this “rabbit” instead of following it! 😅 Let’s see what this season will bring us. No matter what will be the results in points, but it will be a lot of fun for the dogs for sure. 📸: .reva.photography

I am honoured to announce - Origami Way puppies season 2024/2025 is over.

Every year I enjoy this process more and more by discovering and trying out new things what to offer to the puppies. My aim is to make this short time what they spend in my house as good base of all their life as I can.
I thought with every next litter it will become emotionally easier to let puppies go to new homes. Here I was wrong. Still can't resist of some tears (sorry, I'm doing my best 😅🙈)

Thanks Gemma and Do for being so great parents 🙂All four puppies from I-litter “Marvelous” have successfully moved to new homes.
💥INFINITY Origami Way aka TIA joined to Monika Ancveire, Zigmārs Ancveirs, Pēteris and Paula family and will be spending an awesome life journey together with basenji Eva.
💥ICEMAN Origami Way aka SHELDON moved to Liepāja where Vladyslava Nazarets, Nikita & basenji brother Murphy was awaiting for him impatiently since the day he was born
💥ILLUMINATI Origami Way aka NATI became a part of Sandra, Nerijus Guoga, Kamile and Gabrelius family where she is enjoying all the love, attention and spoiling as the only dog in the family
💥IRON MAN Origami Way aka IRON stole the hearts of Nataliia and Serhii the same way as basenji Archie did it a year ago. Now Iron will be Archie’s little bro and best friend for the life.

I am very grateful to all the owners for your choice and your patience within owners selection process - showing the interest, answering all my questions and proofing serious intentions, being always in contact and sharing the best moments of these little treasures daily life with me 🙂

Welcome to Origami Way family once again and all the best wishes to all of you. Let’s keep in touch! 🫶

Sweet, active, playful, human oriented, brave, mischieving… Happy puppies with happy childhood. 🥰

I didn’t know that breeder can breed also own heart - it grows bigger with every litter ❤️ (if the work is done from the bottom of the heart). I love them to the moon and back (many times).
