Ces prochains jours, le thermomètre va un peu s'affoler avec un pic de 35 °C annoncé pour samedi.

Bien sûr, il est important de vous protéger face à ces pics de températures, mais n’oubliez pas non plus vos animaux de compagnie qui souffrent aussi de la chaleur.

Contrairement aux humains, les chiens par exemple ne transpirent pas. Ils ont donc plus de difficultés à faire descendre la température de leur corps.

Chaque année, nous déplorons des accidents suite à ces fortes chaleurs et qui, dans certains cas, peuvent être fatales.

Ces accidents peuvent être évités en suivant ces quelques conseils:
- Privilégiez les promenades en matinée et en soirée, afin d'éviter les coups de chaleur et les brûlures au niveau de pattes. (voir image jointe)
- N'hésitez pas à changer son eau de boisson avec de l'eau fraîche. Pourquoi ne pas lui créer un énorme glaçon avec un ballon de baudruche afin d'inciter votre animal à s'hydrater un peu plus 🧊🤗
- Privilégiez les points d'ombres. (des tapis rafraîchissants sont en vente au cabinet)
- Ne laissez jamais votre animal seul dans une voiture avec ces températures.

N'oubliez pas les animaux de la nature 🐿🦅🦔
Si vous avez un jardin, n'hésitez pas à mettre des petits points d'eau (max 2-3 cm de profondeur) à des endroits stratégiques
Les mois de mai et juin coïncident avec la naissance et l’élevage des oisillons. En plus de boire, ces animaux ont aussi besoin d’eau pour laver leurs plumes.

After four wonderful years working at my salon in Dommeldange, I am delighted to announce that Posh Paws is now fully mobile and available for home visits. Dear Customers:
I would like to inform you I am fully open on the 11th May for Dog grooming. Thank you for your patience and loyalty at this time.
We have prepared guidelines for re-opening for all customers to follow when visiting the salon.

If you would like a new appointment please call me on 621223864.

Guidelines

• Only One customer in the shop at any one time.
• Please wear a mask when you come into the shop and use the hand sanitiser ensuring the main door is closed securely behind you.
• Please wear gloves and a mask to collect and deliver your dog from me.
• Please take your lead and collar from your dog and fit on the slip lead provided. We feel this is the safest measure for both of us at this time and this follows the national guidelines.
• You will be given a time to collect your dog or we will call you half an hour before your dog is ready for collection.
• We ask that you arrive promptly for drop off and collection so we can avoid any queues.
• Deposits must still be taken on new bookings.
• We will phase in cat grooming in the next month This is because the risk of transference of Covid 19 is still high and cats are not usually washed.

Please keep to these guidelines, so we can carry on grooming your pets, keeping them clean, healthy and happy.

I know some of you are keen to have appointments ASAP especially for those longer coated/curly breeds, and financially this idea would currently help me. So...

If you would like to secure a grooming spot for your mud lover in the first week back (whenever that may be) you can do so by paying a €25 deposit per dog. This deposit would then be redeemed on the day of the groom.
I can reserve 25 full groom appointments - and it’ll be first come first served.

NB: I will aim to get round all my clients who want me ASAP once lockdown is lifted. Every dog is important.
