වන අලි ජීවිත සුරැකීම මෙන්ම ග්‍රාමීය ජනතාවගේ දෛනික ජනජීවිතය සුරක්ෂිත කිරීම පිළිබඳව අදාළ අමාත්‍යවරුන් හා නිලධාරීන් අතර සාකච්ඡාවකට ඊයේ (24) ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේදී එක් වීමි.
මේ සම්බන්ධව පවතින තත්ත්වය පිළිබඳව අදාළ නිලධාරීන්ගෙන් කරුණු විමසූ අතර මේ වෙනුවෙන් අවශ්‍ය ක්‍රියාමාර්ග කඩිනමින් ගැනීමට උපදෙස් ලබා දුන්නෙමි.
අදාළ ආයතනවල දැනට පවතින මානව හා භෞතික සම්පත් හිඟය පිළිබඳ අවධානය යොමු කරමින් සිවිල් ආරක්ෂක බලකායේ 5000ක් සහායකයින් ලෙස අනුයුක්ත කිරීමටත්, අවශ්‍ය කැබ් රථ සහ යතුරු පැදි මිලදී ගැනීමටත් කටයුතු කරන ලෙස දැන්වීමි.
වන අලින්ගෙන් මෙන්ම ග්‍රාමීය ජනතාවගේ සුරක්ෂිතතාව වෙනුවෙන් යෝජිත කිලෝමීටර් 800කින් සමන්විත ආරක්ෂක විදුලි වැට සහ අලි කොරිඩෝ 16 ප්‍රතිෂ්ඨාපන කටයුතු වෙනුවෙන් අවශ්‍ය සැලසුම් කඩිනමින් සකසා ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලෙසද මෙහිදී උපදෙස් ලබා දුනිමි.
තවදුරටත් වන ජීවී දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ සන්නිවේදන අකාර්යක්ෂමතා මඟ හරවා ගනිමින් ජනතාවට සමීපව ඔවුන්ගේ ගැටලු සඳහා ප්‍රතිචාර දැක්වීමටත්, තොරතුරු ලබා ගැනීම සඳහා නිසි ක්‍රමවේදයක් සකස් කරන ලෙසත් දැනුම් දුන්නෙමි.
காட்டு யானைகளின் உயிர்களைக் காப்பாற்றுவதுடன் கிராமிய மக்களின் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையைப் பாதுகாப்பது தொடர்பிலும் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட அமைச்சர்கள் மற்றும் அதிகாரிகளுக்கு இடையில் நேற்று (24) பிற்பகல் ஜனாதிபதி செயலகத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற கலந்துரையாடலில் கலந்து கொண்டேன்.
இது தொடர்பான தற்போதைய நிலைமை குறித்து அதிகாரிகளிடம் வினவியதோடு தேவையான துரித நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும்படி ஆலோசனை வழங்கினேன்.
தற்போதைய மனிதவளப் பற்றாக்குறையைப் போக்க, சிவில் பாதுகாப்புப் படையின் 5,000 உறுப்பினர்களை உதவியாளர்களாக விரைவாக நியமிக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்குமாறும் தேவையான கெப் வகை வாகனங்கள் மற்றும் மோட்டார் சைக்கிள்களை கொள்வனவு செய்வதற்கு விரைவாக நடவடிக்கை எடுக்குமாறும் தெரிவித்தேன்.
மேலும், காட்டு யானைககளுக்கு மட்டுமன்றி மக்களின் பாதுகாப்பு கருதி பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட 800 கி.மீ மின்சார பாதுகாப்பு வேலி மற்றும் 16 யானை வழித்தடங்களை மீளமைப்பதற்குத் தேவையான திட்டங்களை அவசரமாகத் தயாரித்து சமர்ப்பிக்குமாறும் நாம் அறிவுறுத்தினேன்.
வனஜீவராசிகள் திணைக்களத்தின் தொடர்பாடல் குறைபாடுகளை நிவர்த்தி செய்து மக்களுடன் நெருக்கமாக இருந்து அவர்களின் பிரச்சினைகளுக்கு பதிலளிக்கவும், தகவல்களைப் பெறுவதற்கான முறையான பொறிமுறையொன்றை உருவாக்குமாறும் இங்கு பணிப்புரை விடுத்தேன்.
I participated in a discussion held yesterday (24) at the Presidential Secretariat with relevant ministers and officials, focusing on the protection of wild elephants and the daily lives of rural communities.
I reviewed the current situation with the relevant officials and instructed them to take the necessary measures without delay.
Highlighting the current shortage of human and physical resources within the relevant institutions, I emphasized that 5,000 Civil Security Force personnel will be deployed as assistants and that steps will be taken to procure the required cabs and motorcycles to strengthen field operations.
I also instructed the relevant officials to promptly prepare and submit comprehensive plans for the proposed 800-kilometer electric fence and the restoration of 16 elephant corridors, with the aim of ensuring the safety of both wild elephants and rural communities.
I further instructed the Department of Wildlife to address public concerns more effectively by resolving existing communication inefficiencies and to establish a proper system for collecting and managing information as well as to response to the public grievances.
