This 40 cm nano tank is now about three months old and was set up using used ADA Amazonia soil.
I only do a 70% water change once every two weeks and hardly dose any fertilizers. Because the plants are low demanding, I can get away with this simple maintenance routine and just enjoy watching the tank do its own thing.
You don’t always need heavy maintenance with the right plant choices, especially with species like Sagittaria subulata, which is growing here as a carpet.
I plan to continue running this tank and see where it leads. I really love the natural chaos and the way the plants are slowly taking over the aquarium.
