Dog training isn’t much different to teaching children - positive reinforcement, don’t put them in situations they can’t handle and build up confidence slowly.

A K9 TRAINER MUST KNOW MORE THAN TRAINING. HE MUST KNOW THE JOB.

In my opinion, one of the biggest weaknesses in K9 training is a lack of real operational experience.

With 18 years of experience in private security, working as a K9 handler and security professional, I understand what happens beyond the training field.

I know what it takes to prepare a dog for real operational environments, because I’ve worked in them myself.

I don’t just train dogs for the field. I understand what the field demands.

I know how to translate operational experience into effective training — and how to bring the lessons learned in operations back into the training program.

From detection work to security operations, training must have a purpose. It must prepare both the dog and the handler for the reality of the job.

14 YEARS. ONE OF THE WORLD’S BIGGEST FESTIVALS. REAL K9 EXPERIENCE.

For 14 years, I was part of the security operations at Tomorrowland, helping secure the festival perimeter with my K9 team.

With 18 years of experience in private security as a K9 handler, I’ve learned that professional K9 work is about far more than having a trained dog. It takes discipline, situational awareness, teamwork, and the ability to perform when it matters.

Today, I bring that experience to the Middle East through Middle East Canine Center (MECC).

I believe in sharing real-world knowledge, developing capable K9 teams, and maintaining professional standards.
